Has anyone in the UK succeeded in getting pure Quercetin? I can't find a UK source without bromelain, and the US ones don't seem to send over here.

Hi Julia,

I have no idea whether or not quercetin is available in the UK. A local source would probably be both cheaper and more convenient. However, if you can't find one, I have provided a link to a U.S. website below.

This site offers pure non-citrus quercetin in 500 mg capsules, 90 caps per bottle at $7.00 (US) per bottle.

http://www.myvitanet.com/noncitquer50.html

The bottom of the page gives you a number to phone for international orders.

I would imagine the shipping cost might be quite high, but would probably be much less per bottle if you ordered a number of bottles.

I would also imagine that slower modes of shipping (such as regular mail) should cost much less than faster modes (such as courier service). You can probably ask about the costs of different shipping options if you called them.

You might want to check to make sure your customs regulations will allow you to bring in over the counter herbs and vitamins, and also that there are no quantity restrictions (before you order).

If you do web search for quercetin, you may be able to find other sites that are as good, or maybe even better. Good luck!

Regards,
- DaveW

Hi Julia,

Try here:

NUTRICENTRE

and:

AURAVITA

Auravita gives you the full details of exactly what the ingredients are, which is why I prefer to use them

Hope this helps!!

Jo.

Thanks, Dave and Jo.

The Auravita ones all have other additives, unless the FSC ones are okay - the only one it doesn't give the ingredients of!!  Although the Nutricentre site doesn't give ingredients I checked the Allergy Research site, and they're okay, so I've ordered those.  The Solaray ones from US wouldn't work out any dearer, despite a $20 shipping charge, but I prefer non-gelatin if possible.

Thanks for your help.:)

Julia,

iHerb.com has several varieties and ships internationally.  You may want to check them out too.  I order from them and find them quite reasonable and very speedy, shipping here in the US.

Oops, I've just been stung. :X

I ordered four bottles from iHerb, as the shipping charge to UK of $20 still made them cheaper than my first lot, from Nutricentre.  But when they came I was charged £15.19 ($27.62) for import tax.

Their website did mention possible taxes, but said, "You may have to pay import taxes.  It is, however, minimal, as we have hundreds of repeat customers from the U.K./ Ireland, ordering from us on a regular basis."

Hmmm... "minimal" means different things to different people!!

Warning: i also been stung:X

iherb uses only DHL for delivery -not mail/post

If receive goods need custom check DHL passes the cost onto costumer.

only when government mail/post is use, they, the gov absorb  [their own] cost.:X

I felt iherb and DHL did not make this clear.

I told iherb and DHL i would NEVER use them again-and  after  receiving several threateninging letters,I paid an extra A$105:X full cost for 2 bottles Quercetin = $A200
