Linda,

That would be terrible if people started to refer to the Marshall Protocol as the Twinkie Protocol!! I will hereby refrain from discussing Twinkies.

Thanks for the warning,

Desiree

I thought the whole Twinkie/HoHo diet was a joke -- that the writers had their tongues in their cheeks.

CLefelt,

It was apparent to me, also, that the writers were not serious. But we have a lot of new members reading who are brain-fogged and easily confused. They cannot always differentiate which messages are coming from Board Staff or knowlegeable members. To avoid confusion and keep the website credible for the medical professionals who visit, it is best that we do not speculate or treat our subject matter lightly.

Best,

Meg

P.S. You can always send a private message to someone when you want to communicate a message that does not follow Board Policy.

In a desperate attempt to not have to go through Twinkie withdrawal, I've been searching for substitutes. The closet I've found so far is at Walmart. Their Golden Crème Cakes, while not as good as Twinkies, sufficiently satisfy my craving. Also, the Walmart brand has no hydrogenated fat =) just a bunch of other chemicals which probably aren't safe for human consumption.
