New Avatars are usually installed within 24 hours of when you send them in. However, I've noticed this board does "cache" or allow your browser to store and show previous avatar images even after the new image is installed.
If it has been a day since your picture was sent to mp@carouselcharts.com and you still just see your old image, then try to "refresh" or "reload" a page with your post to see the new image.
Those with windows machines just need to hit CTL+F5 or from your browser menu choose "view/refresh" or "view/reload" depending on the browser you use (Windows Internet Explorer or Netscape browsers, for example).
If your new image doesn't appear, then do exactly as beautiful Sunflower has done: ask Aussie Barb for an assist. I send all avatars directly to her so she can install them for you. She's pretty quick.

There is a copy of the article that Peter (vda51) was instrumental in organizing. It was the "West Australian" newspaper.
I am going to be interviewed by Australian Public Radio (the ABC) for the morning show, sometime later this week, I think
Thanks, Peter

You likely have noticed the silent but powerful changes going on at marshallprotocol.com. There are people here!
It is us, coming together. Seen and being seen. We are real. We are getting well. We are a unique group in the history of mankind.
Your avatars are slowly but surely evolving from clipart and blank spaces to faces with expression and a wealth of human experience of value for all that visit this board.
If you haven't changed your avatar recently, now is a great time to add your human presence. There is a difference and you can help change the board for the better.
Don't know how? Just follow the instructions at the beginning of this thread.
I look forward to seeing you soon.--JRFoutin Last edited on Wed Oct 26th, 2005 23:53 by jrfoutin

Barb (et al):
I have been trying to upload images to insert in the text of my postings without sucess. They wouldn't upload from my hard drive.
I succeeded by posting the image in my yahoo picture album. Once done, I right-clicked on the image, selected copy, then placed the cursor in my posting where I wanted it to appear, right-clicked, and selected paste.
It seems this will only work if the image is in JPEG format.
Cheers

For people who are chronically ill, boredom is a losing battle, but every so often I strike a blow for, um, the opposite of boredom.
Tonight, I put together a clickable gallery of people on the MP. Have a look.
As long as it's ok with the board, it will continue to stay up, and I'll make an honest effort to maintain it.
You'll notice that for most people I linked to the first page of their progress report. For others (Meg, Trevor, newbies), I linked to the first page of their most recent posts. Also, I didn't put up any non-photos, cool as some of them are.
Of course, if anyone is not happy being up on this site, I will take you off right away.
And if anyone is not happy with his or her placement, send me a dollar, and I'll move you to your preferred location.
Paul
p.s. For those people like Mr. Bill above who are not having success uploading personal avatars, it may be helpful to know that the finished version needs to be 64 pixels high and 64 wide.... if you continue to have problems, I gather you can always send it to mp@carouselcharts.com-- or, I'd suppose I'd be happy to format it for you.

Paul,
Great idea! I have saved the page to "my favorites" as it makes checking up on other members progress so very easy.
Thanks for your work!

| Nice work, Paul! But with 2343 members, there are just under 70 photo avatars. We need more real people avatars, right?--JRF Last edited on Wed Nov 9th, 2005 16:55 by jrfoutin

Nice idea, Paul.........
When I clicked on some of the photos, I got this message:
Sorry, you do not have permission to view this topic. You may probably perform this action after you login. If you are not a member, you can register here. If you are already logged in then the administrator of the board does not allow this action. Should you have any questions, please contact etc etc
Why is this?
Thanks.....................Sharon
P.S. My picture will be sent when I can figure out how to do it. Brain fog prevents me from understanding many things.

That will be because some of the topics are in Phase 2 & 3 Forum, to which you will have access in the near future..

It must be something of a downer to click on a friendly face and get an access restricted message, so I have created a color-coded version of my gallery. I call it...
People of the Marshall Protocol v. 2.0
Not all of the progress reports of members in phase 2+ disallow certain visitors, but a good number do. Now you can avoid them if you so desire.
I trust anyone who notices a mistake will bring it to my attention. I hope everyone likes their color. I spent a NUMBER of minutes deciding which group gets which color.
Also, if you have any other suggestions, let me know.
Paul
