Hi kortwright,

Welcome to our study site for the Marshall Protocol. Please read this Important background information.

Your 1,25-D is elevated at 49.58pg/ml (the population average is 25-29 pg/ml). It is 2.17 sigma high and based on population studies, 98.50% of the population would be expected to have a lower number.

Your 1,25-D is above the maximum of 45pg/ml listed in the Merck Manual of Diagnosis and Therapy (15 Oct 2006 online). At levels above about 42 pg/ml, the 1,25-D (generated by the Th1 inflammation) begins to stimulate bone osteoclasts,  causing bone to be resorbed (dissolved) back into the bloodstream. Not only does this lead to osteporosis, but also to calcium being deposited into soft tissue of the body, including the lungs, breasts, and the kidneys (where it forms kidney stones). Please see Osteoporosis, osteopenia and Th1 illness.

Your 25-D of 20.8 ng/ml is high enough to blunt innate immune response.  Because 25-D is immunosuppressive, you need to avoid ALL sources of Vitamin D to get it down to a therapeutic level of 12ng/ml or less. Please see Foods To Avoid and The importance of avoiding vitamin D.

"The 25-D seems to be the most critical factor as to whether the immune system is able to start working. Any level of 25-D above about 20ng/ml is likely to be acting as an immunosuppressant, with an action very similar to that of corticosteroids." Dr. Trevor Marshall, Ph.D.

Your D-tests, diagnosis and symptoms indicate Th1 inflammation. Please see Symptoms of Hypervitaminosis-D and you may recognize a few more. You will not get well and your health will continue to deteriorate if you don't treat the underlying bacterial cause of Th1 inflammation with the MP. Please see Is the MP an applicable treatment for my disease?

Most supplements and many medications must be avoided on the MP.

If you have not yet weaned off the symbicort please let us know, as you may then want to stop the Mino and post on weaning from steroids forum.

If you have not stopped the oregano and other substances they should be.

Let us know if you agree with the Inclusion criteria for participation in ARF phase II clinical study of the Marshall Protocol.

To maximize safety, protocol efficacy and chance of success, we expect all members to post a brief progress report weekly.  Post your next message in the Benicar and Minocycline Forum Let us know there if you have any questions about medications.

For all other questions, go to our sister site http://CureMyTh1.org, register the same username you have used here and activate your membership when you get the confirmation email. Then you can click on **Ask your Questions in Here** to post your message.

Best, P.B.

Good Morning,
I wanted to let you know that I have read and understand the  Inclusion criteria for participation in ARF phase II clinical study of the Marshall Protocol, And I agree.
I would like to make sure that I should direct all my questions to the Benicar and Minocycline forum. I was also informed that I could ask general questions on the curemyth1 site, but I was quickly told to go back to the Benicar & Minocycline forum?

Please read P. Bear's response to you carefully and post a progress report in in the Benicar and minocycline forum.

Use our standard reporting format. Please be brief but include all pertinent info.
MP meds:
Palliative non-MP meds:
Light exposure:
Symptoms:

Comments:
Plan:
Questions:

-Report Benicar and antibiotics in mg with schedules for each, indicate recent changes

-List all your daily non-MP meds in your signature line.

-Report the palliative non-MP meds you've taken for the week and the number of times you needed them.

-List routine measures to avoid light exposure (NoIRs, low lux home, homebound, limited outings covered up, lite exp. r/t work, etc) in your signature line.

-Report the amount of natural light exposure for the week. (e.g. 1 hr daily commute to work or 2 hr trip to doctor on Monday only or 2 hrs at a picnic on Friday or housebound all week in low lux home)

-Report key symptoms only in a list and rate them on a scale of 1-10 (1 meaning 'barely noticeable' and 10 meaning 'severe'). Indicate which, if any, are intolerable for you. It is not necessary to elaborate.

Also in your report, reply to moderator's questions and indicate if you followed the instructions.

If you have not yet weaned off the symbicort please let us know, as you may then want to stop the Mino and post on weaning from steroids forum.

If you have not stopped the oregano and other substances they should be.

See you in the other Benicar and mino forum.........:)
