When to post

To maximize safety, protocol efficacy and chance of success, we expect all members (even those who think they are doing well independently) to post a brief progress report weekly (more often only if not doing well) so Staff can catch any problems early and have details of past responses to be better able to assist you if you need help.

When you are ready to post your Progress Report, please select the appropriate forum:

-Weaning from steroids forum
- Benicar only Forum
- Benicar and Minocycline Forum
- Phase 2 and 3 Forum

Please see any Information Posts at the top of each Forum.

What to post

We are trying to standardize progress reports to make data collection easier.

Please use this simple format each time you post a report. Briefly list these details:
MP meds:
Include doses & schedules for each, changes, number of days at current dose/schedule
Non-MP med use:
Light:
Describe amount of recent exposure, use of NoIRs
Symptoms:
List only those that are significant and recent. Indicate if they are tolerable or intolerable.
(Pertinent information that is ongoing should be in your signature line.)

Please list your ongoing non-MP meds in your signature line.

List the palliative non-MP meds you've taken for the week. This gives us a better picture of current symptom severity.

List routine measures to prevent sun exposure (NoIRs, covered up, sunscreen) in your signature line only.

In your weekly report, describe your sun exposure (e.g. 1 hr daily commute to work or 2 hr trip to doctor on Monday only or 2 hrs playing tennis outdoors on Friday) for the week. This provides a clue to the cause of any symptom increase.

Rating your symptoms on a scale of 1-10 (1 meaning barely noticeable and 10 meaning 'call 911') is helpful. Rating them at their highest for the week paints a good picture of how you are doing since symptoms should be tolerable at all times.

Important details may get lost when too much information is posted. Keeping a daily journal is helpful to track immunopathology but we ask that you not post it.

Post all reports in the same thread

When you are ready to post an update to your Progress Report, simply "reply" to your own post. This will keep all of your Progress Reports/Updates in one place so that we can easily follow your progress over time.

When you progress from to the next phase of the protocol, begin a new thread in the appropriate forum, referring to the location of your previous thread so that your progress can be followed from the time you started the Protocol. If you can, open the old thread, copy the URL, and paste it at the top of your new thread. Otherwise, just make mention of which forum your previous thread was in.

Please make sure your signature line is up to date < see this link for details to include Thank You ..

To find your own post each time you log in... go to the my account button up the top. and the link will be there.

Folks who chose not to become an active participant on the study site are not officially on the Marshall Protocol because it is still in the clinical study stage and there are no physicians yet certified in the practice of the MP.

MarshallProtocol.com is a huge study site, containing over 130,000 items. New visitors can only view a small fraction of the site because over 2/3 of our membership report in the Phases Two and Three Forum which is hidden from public view. Anyone in phase 2 or 3 who has not requested access to this forum by completing the MP questionnaire, is missing a wealth of information and support.

If a family member or friend is interested in the MP, they must do their own posting unless they have a caregiver who lives with them and is capable and willing of being responsible for managing the MP.

If you are taking the responsibility for someone else, please register each person you are posting for under their own screen name. When you post for them, log in under their screen name, indicate in the message that you are posting for them and sign your own name.

Be sure to read other progress reports on your MP journey. They will help you learn how to report, how to manage immunopathology and sometimes you will discover the answer to a question you forgot to ask.

A friend a mine who knows the basic principles of the protocol marvels at how I am able to understand the herxes and know how to make adjustments and manage dosing of all the medications, all while being ill.

I tell her that I read the website several times a day....questions and answers, progress reports, moderator responses, input from other members, etc., and I think that's what helps me manage my own progress on the MP. No man is an island!
