Tuesday May 10th 1.30pm Thank you All so much for all support

The physical herxing has all but (not quite) stopped..  I am still finding / seeking stability.. last night I had a bad headache.. I hadnt had a headache for 9 months of being on MP I dont think.. and some depressive irritable anxiety... I was able to write legibly last night! I had been thinking that my weak shakey handwriting was because I had *got old*...

This is still a bit rocky.. I am eager to *get in there* again... but I am hanging in for the ultimate good as this is how it has to be for now.. How it has been, was unacceptable for any longer.. I can see that more clearly in retrospect.. I need this break to make a renewed start..

Sorry to hear that dear Barb!

I have a theory.

Continuous herxing makes 1,25D go up continuoulsy.

Stopping this process leads to a drop in 1,25D.

We know of the hormone-shift that can take place in that event, affecting your pituitary.

That could explain why you are having an emotional time right now.

Giving you lots of xoxoxoxoxox !!

Frans

Barb,
Many of the "diseases of old age" vanish miraculously as you recover from this nasty disease. Shaky hands is one of them. Poor hearing, another, and bad memory, another.

Try focusing your recovery plan on next Christmas. By then you will have seen even more tangible changes :)

Thursday May 12th 3am

Thank you Trevor... I am quite sure that I am having trouble comprehending the degree of illness..

Thank you Frans..

I am stable... albeit because I have tightened the meds schedule in again to delay the herx.. I was trying to extend the schedule too far too fast hoping the I/S would stop...  because the physical herx had almost stopped but mentally I wasnt up to there yet.. this is a better place to be...

Hi Barb,

Glad you are doing better!  Yippee!

I guess I should also take Trevor's advice and focus on Christmas.  By then we both should be feeling like what it feels like to be well.  When I started in July, 04, I was focusing on June 05 (my 40th High School Reunion).  Unfortunately, I don't feel well enough now to go, but perhaps in a month things will get better.   Carolyn

Dear Barb,

As you've very rightly advised me to be patient and go slowly, you too. It really is hard to read about other people going so much faster, but then some of us hvave been sick for so many years that we must have larger more established populations of bacteria. And especially with you liver problems, slower sounds better to me.

I like Trevor's idea of looking forwrad to Christmas. I had been thinking of October, but since the heat in July and August will be so difficult that didn't quite make sense. December and January are always my best months, I think because it's dark and cold.

I really hope that your emotions will settle down soon. It's so much better to be miserable and cheerful than miserable and miserable - my very own personal cliche. It's been my mantra for many years because it's really true.

You've been such a great help to me, I wish that I could give you some good advice. I suspect that it's more a matter of time and patience than anything else.

No giving up, XXOO Kathleen

Sunday May 15th 10 am Thank you Kathleen and All..

Today seems to be a new day..

After adjusting my meds schedules: off and on, and up and down, I actually do seem to have come out of the continuous herxing.. dare I say it..

I'm still needing to rest and sleep.. but the actual other herxing symptoms are coming and going..  back ache going thru to my gut herxing. pushing the limits to bearable when present (I feel like a sook), but not long lasting.. and esophageal. and skin. other transients like numb palate and sore toes, and little cramps.. am mentally and emotionally stable....

I will tell you answers.. I don't get 'dressed'.. having a shower is exhausting. I stay in my night dress all the time.. and slippers now, as it becomes cooler ... it's not too cool.. is 24C or 75F at the moment.. I reply to posts at my computer table and office chair beside the bed.. and rest or sleep between posts..

I have been sick for at least over 24 years... and I knew when I read about MP that I had a lot of inflammation ...

I dont do anything else except the MP board.. which I enjoy. I am unable to read books or to wash the dishes or do anything else .. if I am able, I do whatever I can.. my husband works, is supportive and does the shopping and etccs ..

I have no yearning to want to go anywhere or do anything.. In the past, as soon as I had any energy, there has been no stopping me.. so it will happen..  a happy medium would be nice..

I am very happy and peaceful and content, taking one day at a time..  I am so appreciative of all support from Family and online here at MP.com..

I have found that having the break has helped me to get the continuous herxing stopped and hopefully am making a fresh start now.. I'm still coming back in yet..

yesterday the back herxing, around waist level, coming thru to the gut pressure, was the hardest..

I think I have arrived... I can herx and I can stop herxing..

my ear popped a real cute pop that I have heard others talk about.. I have had *wet ears* for months..

and I feel some sort of *good*feeling now ... primarily in my chest.

I have some spare time between herxing.. this is amazing.. it makes time go slower while I wait now to see what happens next..

I dont feel 'healthy' but there is a release or something..  this is quite exciting..
