Saturday 28th May 5.30pm
Yesterday was mostly gut herxing. had to take the Benicar Q4H.
the lung herx is always there, and mild.
Slept well.
Today, no specific points of herxing, - tired and doughy. will focus on taking the abx at 48H - ie in the morning.

Sunday May 29th 6am took 4th dose of abx combo mino 50mg + 1/2 x 2nd abx
I became more tired and sludgey as the evening / night wore on, but I knew I only had to get thru the night.
Teeth on left top (same ones) are *funny*.. numbing of palate, runny nose, very slight ache beginning in my Right knee.. it is the knee that would ache when I was riding my horse mustering years ago... so it is good to see some *action* here..

Monday May 30th 8.30am Day 2 of abx combo (abx due 48H tomorrow morning)
slept well. I wake for Benicar without an alarm. & I sleep and rest thru the day.
The herx feels like I am being pressed against by a board.. the pressure against my body, breathing and my gut.... is managable and tolerable within my Lifestyle of not having to do anything, and being able to rest when necessary. I can feel how sick I am when I try to do anything more.
I am reminded of my limitations of not being able to read a book or magazine, or to listen to music... or to handle Family problems... so I am very content to do whatever it takes to ride this out to get to being able to function..

I have been noticing that my fingernails look better lately... sort of healthier.. but was not sure of the significance.....
when I saw Morris's report re his fingernails (thank you Morris)... my nails have never been blue, so I looked to see if I could define mine any more clearly... took off the NoIRs to inspect...
and the fingernails and fingertips are *really *pink and shiny...!!!! perhaps the lung herxing is giving me better lung function than I had .. !!! wow!
I had played down / denied all lung related symptoms prior to MP, but when I went off the Benicar, that was one of the symptoms that flared up again.. the coughing choking, you know whatting... (more acute.. and worse than the herx)
so this looks like some good news!!!

Hi Barb !
Ellen and I looked at our fingernails today and funny thing: mine show a white rim where the nail comes from below the skin and Ellen has 2 nails on every hand that don't show that white rim, it is a little blueish, reddish. Do you recognize that?

Ahaaaaaa Frans & Ellen,
That is a good observation..
I had previously noticed that I had no rims on any fingernails..
and now as you ask, I checked the new situation..... tiny little baby whitish rims............ barely visible to my herx blurred eyes are just there!!!! wow!!
something is definitely happening..
Also, I see Reenie has reported re dreaming, and Dr Marshall has commented "Dreams return as your memory returns. They are the solid, developing types, which you can follow the logic of, even if you momentarily wake up .. etc"
Just this morning I had woken and for the first time in ages was unusually able to recall and describe this great long dream to my husband...

6.20pm Wednesday June 1st Official First Day of Winter
Day 2 of abx combo.. due in 12h
My Family's symptoms are flaring as the light has lessened..
I am not having as much physical herx, still some lung herx and palate numbing, but the tiredness and going towards depression tonight is heavy going but tolerable as long as I take care. I can sleep thru the night and take the dose at Q48H in the morning..

8am Thursday June 2nd increased abx combo dose: mino to 75mg + same 1/2 2nd abx
coughing. settled by abx dose.. otherwise ok..

Saturday June 4th 7.30am took abx combo mino 75mg + 1/2 2nd abx @ 48H #2
Left eye and nose some tolerable burning. skin herx continues. herxy body odor. esophagus. mentally blocked / sludgey. emotionally stable.
I expect to pick up some after the abx dose and am at my limit on the 2nd day as expected.. there is no way I could make it tolerably thru a third day at this point..
no more remembering any dreaming.
I notice that I have some spots on the top of my hand which were previously invisible, now visible because of some very small white flaking which appears to me to be some form of healing of these ?sunspots..
improvement noted: a very rough patch of skin near my elbow has almost cleared, happened very quickly.

Barb, i haven't read your thread in a very long time. Just want to say how amazing you are!!! You've been a rock for me, and you've been suffering so much. Somehow you manage to be there for all of us while experiencing such bad herxes. You're truly special. Just wanted to say thank you for your guidance and strength. I'm praying that you get back on track soon!

Thank You TickTock.. the Board is at least something I can do and enjoy while herxing .. and between resting..... I appreciate all support very much. Thank You All.
Today is sludgey second day. the herx is crampy belly again today ( I am not liking this much), tired, and a bit flat.
lung herx hasnt completely gone, is in the background, mild. skin and eyes/ maybe eyelids herx seem to be linked as far as blurry goes. ears are usually wet inside a lot, but not today.

I couldnt get to sleep last night for crampy belly / inside gut herx. I was mentally and emotionally pushed also. I had taken pbx and Q, took extra half of Benicar and some Tylenol and finally.. some relief.
Knowing it is all for a good cause keeps it ok..

yes Frans it sure is fighting.. this is all I can do.. one helluva fight.
is probably why I cannot see another inch further than where I am.. mostly I can be content in the moment.
Today the gut has relief. I am sleeping very much..
I am using all meds to keep all going.. My natural progesterone spray helps me for depression and function, and I have had to increase to twice a day yesterday and again today .. instead of the usual once..

I was tempted to leave taking the abx combo for longer, and then realised that the reason was, that I was drifting off into the lost fog again, and this was the very reason I was holding myself to the rule taking it at 48H...
so it is all good news. the herxing is happening and able to be managed..
