Sunday July 17th   5.35 am. today abx combo / increased FULL 2nd abx + 100mg mino @ 24H #1

slept well for a short while, then no ... Too much battling anxiety herx and cramps. no more waiting, time to increase. Felt fearful to take it.. but tell myself that Aussie Barb says, if the herx is more than you can tolerate, take another dose of mino to slow it ... hmm.. all good..

The anxiety / depressive herx feels so real... but it isnt.. it can be made to lie down by taking the meds... so I hang in by reminding myself and keeping the meds up..

Wednesday July 20th 6.40am. off abx day. after dose #2 of Full abx combo of Modified Phase One

Thank you Donna, and All...

Very tired yesterday. dizzy on standing.  herxing. anxiety memory herxes needed meds to relieve. patchy sleep.

sometimes have to take Benicar sooner. I have the timer set for 6H always, and I take it when the gut starts to flare up, no matter how long it is since the last dose, and reset the timer for 6H from there.

Small Things I forget to report but which may help someone else to feel normal: left ear almost constantly wet.  eyes sludgey, not real good for seeing clearly. next to no taste. acute sense of smell. numbing of hands. toes mild pain. feel pulse in my lips sometimes and hear it in my ears when lying down..

Thursday July 21st  6 am. today took FULL 2nd abx + full 100mg mino @ 48H dose #3 of Full abx combo of Modified Phase One

Thank You Carol..

General full herx. As the abx concentration drops, the nasty symptoms hit: antbite cramps back in left breast and down left arm. what do they feel like.. like a cramp and the pain feels like a really nasty ant bite over the whole area, incapacitates me.. relieved by heat pack last night.

more agonising memory and anxiety thinking type herx.. is very difficult.. I could take the abx sooner but Benicar and NPS and getting up out of bed and distracting myself at computer help me. gut is flaring now.. will take Beni early..

Friday July 22nd 9 pm. off abx day. after dose #3 of Full abx combo of Modified Phase One

Misery herxing is mostly managable with meds until it becomes more difficult and can be miserable from 30H when it takes all meds to hold it down.. It is miserable enough, - that I start to think of taking the abx at 36H to slow it, and then it turned around again..

I choose not to move on to the next phase 2 abx until after Family visiting is over next week.. if necessary I will go to maintenence (more frequent ie ?daily) dosing to take me thru. one day at a time.. I am looking forward to moving forward..

My 1 year Anniversary of becoming a MP.com Member. and mino comm Sept 04.

Hi Aussie Barb,

always interesting to follow your posts.  I've had inflammation/cfs as long as you.  What percentage of your symptoms would you say have reversed out?

Also, what is a memory herx?  I never heard this phrase; must be down under term.

Congrats on your anniversary--Dogster

Hi Dogster

Thank you .. It is a year since I became a Member here. I have been on the antibiotics for 9 months. and I know that I have /  and was diagnosed with, a very high level of inflammation / disease before I heard of MP.

you may not have heard of a memory herx because it is a term of my own that suits me to describe ...

what is a memory herx? For me it is when I have flashbacks to memories, good and bad.. the bad ones cause me to agonise.. These herxes are managed the same as any other herx by keeping the Benicar and Quercetin up, and as I have an active immune system I keep my antibiotics to QOD dosing schedule to best manage my herx.

what % of my symptoms have I reversed out? ..  I am actively and happily herxing, so at this point it is difficult for me to tell how much healing has occurred.. I dont need as much sleep / rest. I am calm and content.

I am content in knowing that the herxing is proof that healing is occurring.. I am happy that  the herxing is managable,  - when the disease by itself, or with other treatments, with no MP was not managable,  and I know which way my body function was heading then.. and I had tried everything, with no answers available till I found MP and it made sense immediately...

I wish you well, all best, Barb ....

Hi Barb,

That explanation of the memory herx is EXACTLY what has been troubling me for years and has increased since herxing.  I thought it was my inability to emotionally let go of things that negatively impacted my life (even after over 25 years on and off of psychoanalysis).  Thank you for telling us about your experience ...it's a light bulb moment for me.

Sunday July 24th 8 am. off abx day. after dose #4 of Full abx combo of Modified Phase One

Thank you TT, we never know what we write that may be a help..

I have had a private message from someone not on MP who reads my posts.. concerned about my herxing..  and I thank all and any for their interest.

I am managing my herxing so very well with the meds.. The Benicar I take Q6H routinely and sooner if and when required. I have no light exposure at this time so that is not a consideration.. The Quercetin is also a wonder... working synergistically with the Benicar.. bang I can feel the relief..  I have Milk Thistle to help with the gut inflammation / herx that I have.. I have my own Rx Natural Progesterone spray to help me with any extra emotional herx that may appear.. have been needing to use it much more often and it works very well.

and if I need more than any of the above, I can take my abx dose more frequently.. all of this works well to keep me functioning at my computer, if not at the kitchen sink.. between rests.

I am herxing well.. mostly gut at the moment.. managing well with all meds  I may be feeling some brighter.. (still no kitchen sink)

all best to all, Barb ....

TT, Barb,
As your long term memory returns you will start to dream again, and many dreams will be flashbacks. I found that childhood and schoolday memories, especially, came flooding back.

Barb, TT, Trevor,

Ellen and I are wondering if these memories could be triggered by the herxes recreating symptoms from the past? That way your attention gets drawn to the past.

This is a very interesting subject, because I for one have only the slightest memories of the first 6 to 8 years.

I was convinced I had suppressed these memories because of the youthproblems that were the basis for my burnout. I know the amygdala play a huge part in these suppression processes, but if this all means that the memories have been suppressed because the amygdala just weren't working proper, I wonder about it's impact.

Sincerely, Frans

Barb,

Good to read that you are still able to full dose 2nd abx with tolerable, but naughty herx!:?

Like you, I also find it beneficial to review my sxs improvements since being on the MP. It helps to keep me inspired.:D

Hugs,

Donna
