Barb,

As for the ribs...  I had a piercing needle-like pain that felt like it was underneath my right ribs; in or near my liver that woke me up yesterday morning.

When I went to the chiropractor, we discussed it, after my adjustment.  My rib heads were really out of alignment, as my upper back, (thoracic vertabrae) moved ALOT during the adjustment.

When I mentioned the rib pain to her, asking about it being liver or ?, she said it was definitely due to the muscles/spine needing adjustment.

I had a similar situation several days ago, in my neck.  My traps were rock hard and caused head and neck pain.

I'm SURE this is all due to herxing and the muscle involvement from it.

I just thought I'd like to share that with you.

Thursday December 30th had 1st dose of 50mg mino + 1/2 2nd ABx combo  <overview here

Saturday January 1st 2005 !! HAPPY NEW YEAR to us (((All)))

2nd dose of 50mg mino + 1/2 2nd ABx combo due tonight.

Benicar 20mg Q3H & 40mg night <6h (sometimes I have to take the Benicar a bit sooner than this for anxiety or inflammation herx.

Quercetin as an occasional extra option.  I take the quercetin when the Benicar doesnt help enough with anxiety, or sometimes it will keep the plumbing going.

I have had moderate herxing. mainly gut. not pleasant, feeling quite *sick at the time, but bearable. I could bear it up a notch yet I think, but I am giving each dose a 2nd *go, just in case I missed something. teeth transient to no symptoms.

I rest well. sleep well. drink water. all is well as long as I go real steady. I had a go of my grandson's yo yo and got worn out doing that little bit!!!!

Have I improved?  overview..

physically... not yet any better energy wise, or in ability to *do*...  My husband prepares the meals, does the shopping, makes the phonecalls ..  and he works. ...... I am flat out to do my personal care...  but the function of some important nerves and muscles are improving (from previous dysfunction).. skin improvements noted.

emotionally I am stable. >  anxiety as part of herxing sometimes.. >>

in which case, if necessary I increase my Benicar to 20mg Q2H then and add the quercetin only when necessary.... Q may not be for everyone, especially until you do get your Inflammation blockade established, and have no light exposure..

mentally: yes improvement there. I have improved mental stamina. but still a long way from, and have no knowledge yet of what full capacity may even be as I have been ill for so long. I can still feel the incapacity there yet.

reading: havent been able to and still cannot read a paper or magazine or book for years. cannot read anything on internet that is too deep or that doesnt have enough *white space*....

writing: cannot write much with a pen and paper anymore... internet > can do short bursts. I used to write a LOT.

Spirit: I realise that I am stronger in my Spirit than I have ever been that I remember.

I am not well enough to work; I am actually too weak to *go out* at all as yet. I have been very ill a long long time..  so my reports would probably not reflect as quick progress as others may expect to make IMO.. I am doing better now at last.

Barb,

Good to read that you are still fighting those buggers!!  I cannot imagine what it must be like to be so sick for so long.

Thanks for all of the work that you have put into this project.

Wishing you and yours a very good New Year!

Benicar 20mg Q3H & 40mg night <6h. no Q necessary today

Fairly *good day. I do feel a little better than I have done.

I have had a *sore ear the last couple of days. is getting better.

I forget to report that my hands go to sleep quite often at night.. and my legs sometimes when I am at the computer.

gut inflammation remains.. have had no *real herxing today, but I am able to be patient and stay at the same dose as a precaution tonight !

clearing throat. touch of anxiety relieved by extra Benicar. tired.

herx today is different: a different kind of *sick. sick in the stomach as opposed to *sick from the gut inflammation.

Improvement: nerve & muscle function restored: for years I have had a symptom of paralytic IBS. > which included pressure in my bottom involving the nerves and muscles. the pressure, but not always the paralysed motility of the bowel was relieved by taking prozac.. and then after coming off P, by the Natural Progesterone... and the B12 injections.

Now, I have function restored most of the time.. sometimes I have to take the Quercetin... I have to relearn that pressure is a good sign, not a bad one. It now means function CAN happen and to Know I can *go and get some good relief.. what a blessing this is.. after many years of much discomfort.

Barb, how much of the improvement in the IBS do you put down to the MP and how much to the other things? I ask because I have a similar problem which seriously frightens me at times. I have given up trying all the different hormonal therapies one doctor had me on because my symptoms were too varied to accurately assess the effects, and I learned that the hormones fluctuate so much that tests mean little. Progesterone didn't seem to have any effect on my gut, but I controlled symptoms with supplements not allowed on the MP. Now my problems are back :(.

All of the improvement is due to the MP.

I could only *manage it poorly before. Now in this last fortnight,  it has moved to > IS functioning! along with other pelvic nerves muscles that were dysfunctional before.

best, Barb ...

Dear Jen

when I read your post and think about it, I am astonished at how much we have put up with and how we *manage it all... I didnt realise how much till I have this relief, and also your post.. Dr M says we dont know what good health is till we experience it.. and I can see that is so true.

Other people, my own family, have no idea what I have been living with every day for years ... it is hardly the subject for polite conversation, ie if One is capable of even that!!

My daughter yesterday asked how long are you going to be doing *this* (MP) staying in the dark etcc? saying it is another one in the long list of things I have tried.. well I said as a matter of fact I am experiencing some healing of usually unmentionable problems. oh well that is alright then..
