Brenda,
I'm sorry you have had such an intense experience. Phase 2 is not to be taken lightly as you have just found out.
I have looked back over your recent posts to get an idea of what could have gone wrong and I don't see any dosages of meds taken. It just says Phase 2 meds.
Do you know what dosages you were at and how long you stayed on them so we can perhaps see what went wrong and help assure it doesn't happen again.
Phase 2 can be very tricky. The Zith is extremely powerful..many people cannot handle it and need to start at very tiny doses. I had to switch to Modified Phase 2 and avoid Zith altogether until I had worked my bacterial load down. The moderators were very helpful at walking me through what I needed to do to avoid powerful IP as much as possible. It is very important that you post every week and keep us informed so you don't get caught out and no one knows what you've been taking.
It's a good idea to print out the Phase 2 guidelines and keep them in a folder as a quick reference. It's also good to have the printout of what to do if you need to go to the hospital .
When I did need to go I just took that with me and it helped the hospital staff understand what I could and could not be given.
I'm glad your mother was able to help you....sounds like you had a terrible time.

Hi Aunt Diana,
Thanks for your reply. I plan on posting a long one in the next couple of days. I hadn't posted more often because I just didn't have the energy and I live alone.
I never thought that the nausea I was feeling could have been IP as I never had it before. Also some people around me had vomiting and diarrhea, so I thought that I had got a bug. So I never stopped the Zith early enough or taken more Benicar. I was blown away by the power of the Zith. It really scared me. As of now I am not even taking the Benicar because I kept vomiting it as I got better.
So I will be doing lots of studying on the MP site. I will be going very slowly again but not right now. I have had a cold (IP) and I am aching a bit in my joints, so I am hoping that I am doing a little killing on my own. Is this possible? I will be following the modified phase 2 like you did. I am getting more energy every day and drove the car today for the first time because my clot is much better.
Watch for my post and if there is anything that I should be doing, let me know. I need some helpful experience.
Brenda

Hi Brenda,
Glad your on the mend. It is very possible that your own immune system is hard at work, even without the abx, and is continuing to kill bugs. That is what it feels like for me.
Looking forward to hearing your full report in the phase 2 forum....it is good for others to read it as well. This is how we help each other by sharing our experiences.

Dear Aunt Diana,
I just posted about my runaway IP experience. I had posted twice when I had got the diarrhea but there weren't anymore monderators and no one answered me.
Thanks for your help. I will start the Benicar tomorrow.

Bee,
I have sent you a PM which you never answered.....Please read it and contact me about it!
Aussie Barb alerted us that you needed help re posting in the phase 2 forum, (Aunt Diana & I). We are watching you and how you are progressing....but you need to at least stay on the Benicar as a safeguard.
Please let me know if you read my PM.
HANG IN THERE, WE WILL MAKE IT!!!!

Hi Barney,
Was the PM that you sent about dehydration? I am very good about drinking water. When I was sick I forced myself and also drank something called Gastrolyte, for electrolyte balance. I hope this is the PM you are referring to. I have put some posts in phase 2/3 and also in alumni by mistake so I am really mixed up! I hope I haven't lost yours!

Bee,
The pm was about dehydration. Two MPers had suffered from it and ended up in the hospital. So we all need to remember to drink. I, too, get busy and just don't remember to drink. I also get tired of plain water, so I will put a half slice of orange, lemon or lime in it, just enough flavor it differently, but not all the time. Putting ice in my water helps also. I also drink ice tea, some spiced teas in the winter (hot). Please be careful of certain drinks that may contain Vit D. They sell a lot of enhanced with minerals/vitamin drinks nowadays.
What really scared the begeegers (if there is such a word) out of me, is the fact that you stopped your Benicar. It is organ protective (I only have 1 kidney) and I would have increased it to stop the herx rather than stopping it. You are not protected if you do not take it.
I posted in phase 2/3, on Sheila's post to her, how I work the Benicar. Please go to that site and read my post on March 20.
I am in stage 5 of MP no abx, Benicar only. I still have plenty of herx as the bugs are dying off but with extra Benicar and Tylenol, I rarely have to take a pain pill anymore.
We are watching and keeping an eye on you. Also you might want to go to Phase 2/3 and read Elephant in the Room which will help you understand a few more things.
It is also very important for you to educate yourself to save your life from these terrible diseases we suffer from....so please go to FAQ and Required Reading. Print out the Phase 1 & 2 keeping a note book so that you can read and reread. I will send you a few links for other very important things to read.
Hope this helps you to understand and feel more assured.

Hi Barney,
You are a doll. Please read my post just now. I have started vomiting from the Benicar of the filler.

Hi Barney,
I have heard from the Pharmacy. They think it is the filler, Avicel, that is causing my vomiting. I am to send the pills back and they will replace them, without that filler.
Wish me luck!
