Your Christmas Day.. Happy Christmas to All

Thank you All my Dear Friends for your messages

Monday December 26th  5am / level .5 / day 6 / Phase 2 Aug05 mino > 50mg 24H / Benicar 40mg Q4-6H as required, day and night / MT / Quercetin TID / PBX BID/

Well, we had a Happy Family Christmas. The best they'd had in years to have Mum home they said. It was so nice to see my grown Children together and the happy lovely people they are, and to be with them.  It was a very hot day as is usual for Christmas day in Australia, but I was in the darkened air con room.

The computer conditions were too tough to work with so I gave up and had the day off.

we had a simple salad lunch.. lovely.

The trip and getting thru a whole day was a big effort, and it is so comfortable to be back at my own home again now. I am too sick to be away from home for any amount of time.

Getting thru one day was all I could manage and I was pleased that my husband could see that we needed to come back to our home last night after 24H away and not try to get thru another day till the next night. He always takes good care of me.  we travelled home thru a very heavy rain storm with some hail, and had to stop the car at some stages as we couldnt see.

I learnt of another new improvement by going. Pre MP I couldnt sit in the car for a trip, because of pain and sickness. I used to have to lie the seat down flat to bear it.. my bones must have been ready to crumble. This time I was able to sit up for the trip and it felt lighter to be able to sit comfortably.

I am feeling sick and exhausted but will take my meds as needed and recover and it was worth it.

That will do for now. all best wishes, Barb ...

Barb......I hope you find your reward here on earth and soon.....well, another year or so.

Having access to all posts has enabled me to read up on your progress. I started with your having company, then to Target, then to the farm with the family. In spite of your difficulties, it seems you are upwardly bound.......like sitting in the car for three hours.

I am amazed how you can be "coach" to so many of us with all you need to do to take care of yourself.......AND you seem to keep your meds straight. That takes cognitive power.

When you are well, maybe you can be Head Coach for a network of Assistant Coaches around the world. Maybe there will be a whole new field here for Physician Assistants who are able to to MP coaching.

May the coming year be the best ever for you and yours.

Sharon

Dear Barb,
I'm so happy to read your Christmas post!!! How great to notice such a specific and big gain - being able to sit up in the car for so long. I know that you need some time to recover now, but it's still wonderful.

I'm hoping for a better year ahead for all of us. No giving up, Love XXOO Kathleen

Some improvement with beginning of new abx cycle.

I have spent this year of my Life on MP. That is a year working towards a Future that I had been warned I would not see.

and as the year has unfolded I have been able to see what I could not see, tiny step by tiny step to come out of the denial I had been surviving behind. I now understand why I felt so sick for so long, and why there were no answers to my problems - till MP. my body function is being restored gradually.

These are some of the more obvious improvements:

minor skin lesions have disappeared.

I am off thyroxine.

No migraines (they used to last 7 to 8 days)
anxiety/ depression/ stress meds and social and psychological issues all a thing of the past. peace reigns. gaining confidence. can see the re-building in many ways.
I can eat cold fruit from the fridge. couldnt bear to before. Used to have it room temp.
problem teeth for years. fractures, uncomfortable. not a problem now.
I can sit in the car to travel. (had to lie down before)

Overall I dont need as much rest and bed time.
I may think of more yet :)

Dr Marshalls words ring true for me: ... "the biggest issue, IMO, is trying to micromanage the healing process. If you are typical of the folks who come looking to the MP for relief, then you have a body which is very ill. It is systemically ill, there will be no part of it that has totally escaped damage. That's the problem with micromanaging - when you get too much data it becomes not easy to analyse what is happening.
Healing takes place on a yearly scale..... " <<<<

Here's to a Happy Healthy 2006 to All !!!...
