I have had sarcoid for at least 14 years. I have many granulomas in my lungs that I have watched by CT scan never change but never calcify or recede. I never took steroids except for Advair occasionally and occasional albuterol for tightness.
My main symptom for years was a cough that just would not QUIT, sometimes to the point of vomiting.
In the last couple of years I have had increasing symptoms that included: joint pain and decreased joint mobility, brain fog, I had a bout of atrial fib, for which docs could find no cause. I have evidence of some sarc on my MRI of the brain as well. I pretty much handled my symptoms using supplements, with some success but actually realize now with my type A personality I learned to live feeling awful all the time. Being a health care professional I was not about to become a slave to steroids and knew the long term ramifications of using them. Though I went to some very "prominent"doctors, there was nothing offered but steroids.
I found this site around May of this year and researched the science behind the protocol and read everything I could. I even went to the LA conference. I knew this was the treatment I had been waiting for. I have been on the protocol since the end of June 06 and I have to tell you that now I can clearly see it was my only choice. I definitely have had some rough times with the Immune Pathology that becomes evident with some of the meds. but I have managed through them. I must tell you I feel stronger than I have felt in years, my coughing has decreased and changed in duration, I have 100% mobility in my joints which were down to 50% and I have a sense of well being I have not had in many years. I will be starting the second phase in early 2007.
I also read the majority of postings here regarding how everyone is handling the protocol for themselves. My best advice to anyone is to take this protocol serious, use patience, and not be in a hurry to be finished with it. You will be rewarded with your health back, I am convinced of it. Each of us has a different degree of disease and different organs affected so we must look at each one on an individual basis but I believe that slow and steady will win the fight. I know that my Sarc was NEVER going to go away and continue to eat away at everyone of my organs, sometimes in stages, sometimes in remmissions but non the less would have always been on a destructive path. I am so grateful to have found this science, this site and Dr. Marshall and his moderators. I hope you will decide for yourself to get well soon. Take care, VEZ

For about 3 years before I started the MP I used to choke whenever I was drinking fluid or sometimes eating, just out of nowhere I would start choking, it was like I could not control closing off my trachea to swallow. I could not understand it.........until I got on the MP.
I have been on this 6 months and about 3 months into the MP the choking I used to get just stopped. I have so many symptoms I just took this as a normal one due to careless swallowing but my husband said the other day, "you know you have not choked on anything for months". I then realized this was due to the MP.
I did experience a sore throat and sore palatte quite a bit at first as herxing and still do a little bit now and then.
From what I have seen so far this MP has just amazed me, my joints are completely mobile without soreness. My constant coughing and shortness of breath are reduced to about 25% of what they were. I have already experienced so much healing I can not believe it.
The benicar did make me herx and feel ill for awhile as my Vit D levels came down and my blockade stabilized. I just know for me that anything I have to go through now is NOTHING like the destructive path my body was on before the MP.
