I have an update on Camp Sundown....this message is from them via email AFTER I sent them a few emails. I indicated that I could not come this summer but was asking if we could have an MP Camp there:

Sorry we won't see you this year Leesa, but feel free to pass all the information along to your group. We'd be delighted to host a MP session or two.

Caren Mahar

I would love to discuss this at the LA conference and would love to see if we could have an MP Camp there in 2007. Can someone on the MP board comment on what we ould do to start planning???????? (I would help plan it)

Also, LeAnne, I like my gloves and they are from http://www.sunprecautions.com. I am thinking of order fingerless gloves for when I am inside at places, but still feel like I need gloves. I like my tan ones the best!

I took my kids to the Children's Museum this week too...more windows than I'd like so I stayed very covered up and we did not stay long, but it was fun to go!!

Staff have looked at your Camp Info, and you may be able to have more informal discussion at the Conference or after, as Conference preparations are the Staff priority at the moment. Thanks ..
all best, Barb ...

I think a camp would be a wonderful and fun experience. Let me know if you need help planning in the future.

Hi Claudia

I have a light weight steamer ( a Rip Curl I think the 2/3 mm version) which I thought I would use in the cooler months.

Then I found out that it was only SPF50 in UV ratings, which might be good if your simply trying not to get sunburnt, but way short of what we need ( considering our whole bodies are being exposed)

So I decided I would only use the steamer to swim after the sun went down. Problem of course is that by that time of the day I am generally too tired ! But it is something safe to look forward to .

Regards

RobertTownsend

Chris - Aww, I thought you meant the steamer would be a complete light block-out... :( would any of the thicker wetsuits block out light completely?

Hang on a min... if it's a wetsuit, made of rubber and all that, how would ANY light get in?? Are you sure it's only SPF50? Maybe it's something to do with regularions in Australia on SPF ratings? I've read that no sunscreen product in Australia is allowed to be rated over SPF30, except to say "30+" They don't want to get people's hopes up?? dunno what the logic. Perhaps on swimwear "50" is the limit, even if it's made out of solid bricks?

Hello:

Can you tell me where this camp will be help and if it really is in the works and what I can do if anything to help.  I am sure my husband would get the time to come also and it would be nice to meet some of the people I have spoken to out here.

Please let me know if this will happen.

Leesa has gotten her life back and is so busy with work/family she doesn't have time to post often now. You may contact her via private message to see if she has done any follow up regarding this camp.
