It's important to get just the right amount of calcium. It should be near, but not exceeding the RDA and no more than 500 mg at a time.
If you only eat one or two or fewer servings of dairy products daily, you may need to increase your intake via food or a supplement through products with calcium and without vitamin D. (However, if you have had high serum calcium, you should consult your doctor for guidance).
