It is usually better to not make large sudden changes in your diet, rather make them more gradually, perhaps in stages, for instance when reducing carbohydrates. 

And remember that some people may have trouble tolerating certain diets at certain stages of the MP.  For instance, some don't tolerate high fiber diets and others find they seem to have problems with lowering carbohydrate intake earlier in the MP. 

Some notice a low carbohydrate increases their immunopathology reaction to a level they can't tolerate.  On the other hand, some who are not having enough bacterial killing perhaps need to try lowering their carbohydrate intake in order to progress better.
