I have been thinking for a long time about writing a book or a filmscript from the MP viewpoint, but I am still biding my time...
Finding this collection of films and books really inspired me. Sombody at Stanford is doing a good job, I think.
http://cmgm.stanford.edu/micro/Schneider-lab/Freshman%20Seminar.html
We have to share our experiences of MP to the world, somehow.
I am not strong enough to pull it off myself but the thought struck me
that we could do a collective writing of a script story with the help of internet.
It is a wild idea but fun to try, I think.
We would need a team of different personalities and skills to make it happen. It is possible. What do you think? Last edited on Fri Dec 16th, 2011 15:56 by Lottis

I am sure many more of us have a story to tell intertwined with th1 and the MP! I am still "brain fogged" and cannot do much "brainstorming" .... Lee

I have quite a few stories that I have been saving.
So how do we do this?

Good question. I do not know, so we have to invent the process...
I have been thinking big, like if it gets to be a profit, we should donate most of it to the ARF, and just a small part to those that have taken part in it.
And we should get an external forum for this, and then have a page were we all could contribute to the writing, edit and make suggestions.
A film script to a documentary would be one thing we can do.
We can have some contributers do it by audio, and make a radioprogram documentary as well.
The main goal in the project should be writing a story, chapter by chapter and doing that, we could let it live its own life by letting every next person write his own chapter. This story could then be the base for a script to a real movie. So that part should be pure brainstorming and creativity.
Any more ideas?

Can you help me collec threads or posts at the forum where we can get som inspiration to the plot of our fictional movie?
Here is one thread short enough to read, for instance;
http://marshallprotocol.com/view_topic.php?id=14364&forum_id=11&jump_to=224032#p224032
Dr. Marshalls post about that there is no conspiracy is good, and Milans post gives some ideas to.
The link Pillyguy gives us about borrelia is also something that can spinn off thoughts. Borrelia is something everybody can connect to and could be the main character bacteria in the plot, maybe. Last edited on Sun Dec 18th, 2011 10:15 by Lottis

easy to make it a conspiracy /doomsday genre. Avoid the end of humanity. Military love making compound weapons add a to b you get nerve gas that sort of thing. what if there was a amore deadly way of a simulation of plauge?
what was that study where the volunteers nearly died from severe herx? Use that compound as a gas by the secret government give it a more lethal zip (embellish the symptoms) people will think its plague.
use microwave towers to rife & initiate mass herx responses flooding the hospitals & drs offices.unknown to the public several drs are actually death agents and cause greater panic as many of their patients die off.

Haha, great! I will give you the login, so you can put it down in the script. Feel free to change, edit and add anything in it, even the characters need more substance.

Trouble is, there is already enough fiction floating around about the MP already. Sometimes I get frustrated.
I think writing the MP as fact, straight up, is enough to "seem" like fiction to most of the world right now.
Better to write the existing medical perspective as the fantasy, myth part? (wink)

Not even noticed, I like your sense of humor.
You also have some ideas of plots, and that is very good.
It made me spinn off a little. We should start them (the stories) off on their journey at the forum.
And Janet, you are right, there are many weired stories about the MP going around, we should have that in mind too.
I will be back.

Why reality is a better storytelling tool than fiction and how film can be a conduit of democracy.
Pioneering Scottish filmmaker John Grierson (1898-1972) is often considered the father of documentary film and credited with coining the very term “documentary” in his review of Robert Flaherty’s film Moana in the February 8, 1926, issue of the New York Sun. His 1932 essay “First Principles of Documentary” argued that cinema’s capacity for observing life could be a new art form, wherein the materials “taken from the raw” can be more real than acted fiction and the “original” actor and “original” scene are better lens for interpreting the modern world than their fiction counterparts. Above all, Grierson believed in the social responsibility of the filmmaker and the potential of film in helping society achieve its democratic ideals.
http://www.nfb.ca/film/grierson/
Grierson is a 1973 documentary about the father of documentary by Canadian filmmaker Roger Blais, now free online in its entirety courtesy of the National Film Board of Canada. Through archival footage, interviews with people who knew him, and footage of Grierson himself, Blais paints a lively and fascinating portrait of a man who was concerned not only with documentary film as an art form but also as a powerful tool of democracy. (Cue in The Power of Photojournalism.)
