Benicar 40 mg, 4x/day Minocycline 25mg every 48 hrs
The lightheadedness has improved and mouth sores have almost all healed. I've had no joint pain for a while now. Benicar has really been helpful to me.
I do have an unusually large appetite as of late which also happened when I was on AP with mino. Otherwise, everything is going well.

Benicar 40 mg, 4x/day
Minocycline 25 mg
I've had several good days in a row. The enormous appetite has normalized, so perhaps it was a herx. I plan to move up to 50 mg mino Saturday.
Still feeling better than when I started for the most part

Benicar 4x/day, minocycline 50 mg every other day
Things are still going quite smoothly. Still experiencing some lightheadedness at times. Occassionally, that leads to some shakiness inside my head that is a rather odd symptom I have experienced a handful of times over the last 15 years. My symptoms have remained tolerable.
I haven't had as much photosensitivity as I expected, especially since this was a symptom I experienced before I began MP. I am careful to wear my NoIRs, hat, sunscreen, etc. when going outside.
Thanks, again for all the info. on the site. It has made this process very manageable.

Benicar 4x/day, 75 mg mino every other day
I went up to 75 mg last week with little problem. This was the easiest move yet. My little sensitivity is subsiding some more. I had a little increase in fatigue at the beginning of the new dose, but I'm doing fine now. I am getting the hang of when to ramp up. Nothing new... things are good. Just checking in

Benicar 40mg, 4x/day Mino 75 mg
I am still doing well- herxing some, but all tolerable. No new symptoms. My photosensitivity has been very manageable. This really surprises me since I had trouble with photosensitivity before starting MP. I plan to go up to 100 mg tomorrow.
I go in for bloodwork on Monday and am told it will take 2-3 weeks to get the results. Do I need to wait to complete the questionaire until after I get the results? I am not sure if it matters, but my 25D was 5 before starting MP. I would like to give the phase 2 info. to my local dr. so he can consult with the out-of-town MP dr. Thanks for any guidance you can give me.

see this FAQ Where can I find phase two and three? for information re sending an email for the Questionnaire to fill and you can return now so that you may read and discuss the Information re which meds and doses with Staff in phase 2/3 forum before going to your Dr. The 25D result can be reported when you have it. There is no need to retest the more expensive 1,25-D..
Do please add your MP meds start date to your sig line.. thank you.

Gosh... it's been ages since I checked in. Anyway, I have good news to share. I've been on MP for 2 years and 7 months. I went back to work, teaching elementary school, after being off for 7 years. It's an amazing job and I am crazy busy, but I am able to manage all that goes along with running a classroom.
I am still creeping up to the full Phase 2 dose. I tried to go faster, but the abdominal herx stopped me. Now I just take it slow and up my dosage when I have been able to maintain things for a while.
My photosensitivity is WAY better. I still wear my glasses and hat while outside, but don't worry about it inside unless my eyes start hurting.... my body tells me when I've had enough!
The Raynaud's is better, too. I'm still the coldest person in the crowd, but it is much more manageable now. I go to my kids' sporting events with a gazillion blankets at this time of year, but I still go and thoroughly enjoy myself.
I am so busy, but loving every minute of it! It is thanks to the MP that I have been able to return to doing what I love!
