Nothing exciting today, lots of rest and sleep and a little bit of packing to go the graduation.
Knee has been better today, not hurting near as bad.
My eyes feel as tho I cried for hours (you know, that 'tired' feeling). I got something in them last night and flooded them with regular visine and may be that's why they feel like that. They are okay tho.

PS. hrts, I got my papers from my bladder biopsy and it may have been sarc. One doc says probably and one says no. Who knows? Barney

Trying to get every last detail done and deal with being tired and sleepy.
Took a 3hr nap to be sure to stay awake to drive tonight. Will have to sing with the radio a lot tonight to stay awake, glad no one will be in the car with me.
Everything is packed (almost). Just need to put it in the car.
See everyone one I get back very late Sunday night.

Decided to go ahead and post before all the excitement starts with the graduation this morning. I am using my son-in-laws computer.
What an exciting trip! I wanted to share my experiences while they are still on my mind.
I started out after dark with a lot of anxiety. Would the car break down? What would I do? How would I get help? and yes, I almost turned around 30 miles down the road and went home. But...I didn't. I kept telling myself it would be okay. The grandkids kept calling me on my cellphone to make sure I was staying awake and I was okay.
I was very glad to see Albq. I stopped in Las Lunas for gas at an all nighter and talked with the ladies there about why I was traveling at night. Marshall Protocol and I told them all about it.
I got in about 215 am and carried everything in, as I knew after the sun came up, I was not going out. I realized 2 hrs later that my suitcase (which I forgot about) was still sitting in the street behind my car. Thank God, no one stole it. Not too many people up at that hour.
Also hard to find...was a gas station open. I thought everything kept turning 24/7 but...I guess not. Very scarey for night travel.
The road signs usually say whether they are open 24 hrs but they also lie.
Finally went to sleep about 5am and slept until 9am, did not even hear my kids go to work. Must have really been out of it. I rested all day on their couch, dozing off and on and watching tv when I was awake. After all, they have a big screen and satillite.
I made a startling decision which I had not even really considered. It was like a light bulb came on. I get really tired when I take the 100mg mino (the next day) and I wanted it to be nice. So I am taking 50mg Mino Q12hrs. So far seem great, is evening out for me so far. No 2nd antibiotic until I get home and rested, even tho today should have been the day.
Well, all I better go get dressed. Just wanted to share this experience with you. Oh, by the way, the kids covered all their windows with newspaper. I did not think that would work, but..it is great. It is like twilight in all their house.

GOT UP WITH A ACHING HEAD, WHEN I PUT MY VISOR ON, IT HURT. WENT TO GRADUATION ALL COVERED WITH NOIRS. SON-IN-LAW DROVE, MAKING IT EASIER ON ME. COULD CLOSE MY EYES A LOT. BY THE TIME GRADUATION PROCEEDED, I WAS FEELING VERY NAUSEATED BUT WAS ABLE TO SIT THRU THE GRADUATION AND GO TO LUNCH.
IT HAS BEEN GREAT, FRIENDS AND FAMILY PUT IN A LOT OF EFFORT TO SEE THAT I AM AVOIDING THE SUN AS MUCH AS IS POSSIBLE. THE RESTAURANT, THEY GOT A TABLE COMPLETELY IN THE DARK EXCEPT FOR DIM LIGHTS AND AT THE GRADUATION I KEPT MY VISOR ON AND MY LIGHT NOIRS. NO FLORESCENTS BUT HALEOGENS (JUST AS BAD).
FRIENDS FROM WHEN MY GRANDDAUGHTER WAS A BABY ATTENDED AND COULD NOT GET OVER THE FACT THAT "I LOOKED SO GOOD SINCE THE LAST TIME THEY SAW ME" ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO. THEY SAID I LOOKED GREAT. THE LAST TIME THEY SAW ME, THEY SAID I LOOKED LIKE I COULD NOT PUT ONE FOOT IN FRONT OF THE OTHER. THEY JUST WERE BLOWN AWAY AT HOW WELL I AM DOING.
THAT REALLY ENCOURAGED ME. THEN MY 'ADOPTED FAMILY' TOLD ME THE SAME THING.
JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT MP IS ALSO SHOWING ON THE OUTSIDE TOO. I THOUGHT GRANNY WAS JUST 'PREJUDICED' WHEN SHE SAID IT.
HAD TO LAY DOWN AND REST FOR ABOUT 3 HRS TO GET RID OF THE NAUSEA. I AM WONDERING IF IT IS THE FACT I AM TAKING THE MINO 50MG Q12HRS. WHO KNOWS? INTERESTING TO EXPERIMENT. YEAH!
FORGOT TO TELL YOU THE REAL EXCITEMENT..I WAS ON A VERY DESOLATE ROAD AND NO RESTROOM AVAILABLE, ALSO NO TRAFFIC, STOPPED IN MIDDLE OF ROAD, AFTER I GOT BACK IN THE CAR AND WENT ABOUT 20 FT THERE WAS A 3 FOOT SNAKE. DON'T KNOW WHAT KIND, DON'T CARE, HATE SNAKES. I WAS WONDERING WHAT WOULD BE MY REACTION WHILE ON MP IF I WERE BIT. DON'T REALLY WANT TO FIND OUT.

the MP should not alter your reaction to snakebite. Although your increased medical knowledge might make things a bit harder for the ER staff

DID NOT GO TO BED UNTIL 7AM DUE TO HAVING TO UNLOADING THE CAR FROM TRIP AND TIGHTENING THE BOLTS ON THE FAN AND PULLEY OF THE COOLER, SINCE I CAME HOME TO A VERY HOT HOUSE. IT HAD GOTTEN 104 DEGREES, TODAY WAS 105 DEGREES BUT SINCE I GOT THE COOLER WORKING GOOD IT WAS ONLY 70 INSIDE.
HOORAY, I AM VERY GRUMPY WHEN I GET TOO HOT AND 105 IS ABOUT 20 MORE THAN I WANT TO BEAR.
I WANTED TO SHARE SOME OF MY MP EXPERIENCES, BEFORE I GET BRAIN FOG AND FORGET THEM. I HOPE MY COMPUTER WILL NOT DIE BEFORE I DO THIS:
1. People are totally blown away at the woman traveling alone at night until they learn you cannot tollerate any sun. However, they make it very plain that they cannot do what I am doing. (I tell them they would if they knew they were dying,)
2. No matter how young they can understand the sun will make you sick if you go outside. My greatgrandson kept saying ' you get sick when you go out in the sun?' He knew we could go out after dark, but in the meantime we could play in the house and he was okay with that.
3. Big screen tv's really put the light out. Absolutely necessary to remember to put the NOIRs on so your eyes did not get a BLAST of light.
4. When away at someone else's house, you must discuss meals with them. My granddaughter is going to continue her education as a chef and her male friend from chef class decided to cook a fancy meal for us. Everything they made they had to really think what I could and could not eat. They forgot and put milk in the pudding in the parfait. They were discouraged that I could not even taste it. I was getting too much light exposure on this trip, I did not want to add Vit D in my food. My grandson-in-law ate it for me.
5. When I reduced the mino to 50Mg Q12hrs my knee backed off hurting but I got very nausated. So I backed off to 50mg QD and all was well. I thought my knee was going to have to be replaced after all, it had really gotten bad with pain. I now believe it is the antibiotics killing bugs. It feels great tonite, but I am starting back up on my meds, so I figure it will start hurting again.
6. You can overcome the anxiety you get on MP if you just sit and talk with yourself that you are going to be okay.
7. the drive back was a breeze, no anxiety at all, HOWEVER, the muscle pain in the top of my leg between knee and hip got to be almost unbearable pushing the accelerator. (no cruise).
8. My feet did swell from the light exposure at my (other) granddaughter's house, but my hands, face and eyes did not swell this time.
9. I had the strangest time with a runny nose the whole time I was at the graduation, never had that since on MP. It quit as soon as we left that building. Don't know that I would throw that onto MP?
Well, I guess I have run off the mouth enough, better go to bed.
Was good to get out, but am very glad I am back in my cave, I missed it.

Rested and napped all day after sleeping from 12am until 6am. Was not fatigued, just felt like normal day I would have if I were a well person. Just needed to rest after trip, but not near as tired as I thought I would be. Very pleasant feeling.
Not aching, not hurting anywhere. Tomorrow the bugs will be on the run again, so we will probably sing a different tune . One day at a time, we will see what happens.
How sweet this trip was, just by sticking with the plans of least amount of light exposure as had to be. I'm loving it.

Other than loading the dishwasher and running it and putting the dishes away, I just sat around and watched TV.
Turned down an 'invite' from the WASOG for Patient Conference Day from Dolores OLeary. I have known her and her husband for many many years. They are sweet people. I invited her to join us here at MP, since our treatment works and all that she has gone thru has not worked. As of this post, I have heard nothing back. I also invited her to read all my posts. I told her I would not attend because I felt they had nothing to offer me, especially since I found MP and there didn't seem to be any answers from their 'camp' all these years.
If I sound irritated because the medical society never gave me any correct answers for 40 years, you are right, I AM VERY IRRITATED WITH THE MEDICAL SOCIETY.
I am so very thankful to have found MP. I have had a great trip, a great time when I got back and am still feeling GREAT tonight. No pain, no sickness, just a clear head that feels like I got a new lease on life. Better quit bragging before a herx gets me (haha).

Neck was hurting when I got up, nipped it in the bud with a pain pill, rest of day all tolerable. Not the same neck pain as I used to have before MP. I am sure this was a herx. Another herx, sleepy today. Not tired, not fatigued. Feel very clear headed.
Got an email from Dolores declining my offer to start MP. Wish she would, she is going blind from sarc. My mother always said you can lead a horse to water but you can not make them drink.
Went to Walmart after dark last night, and had to get home asap because the tiredness kicked in and I knew I would need to go to bed soon. When going to town, I noticed (by sight) that they had paved our highway, Used to be that I would smell it first and have breathing problems the whole way.

I really blew it today. The worst mistake since on MP. I took all my meds until my 3pm. I forgot it, the 6pm and didn't remember until 9pm. To make matters even worse, I was out during daylight hours (covered completely of course). It was cloudy and I thought I needed to go away for a change to shop during daylight.
I don't need to tell you I lost my blockade and am having to really go on some Benicar q2hrs to get it back. Darn it. Just plain stupidity. I know I have to take meds q3hrs but I guess I was having to much fun cheating and I will have to pay the price. We'll see what the penalty is.

Penalty time hit about noon, pretty rough shoulder and neck pain, lasting up thru my posting time (now). 2 pain pills gave some relief. Irrability and muscle pain and pain in side where kidney(r) was removed. All tolerable but miserable.
You do the crime, you pay the fine and I guess I had it coming after yesterday.
WILL NOT forget my meds again no matter how excited I am.

Some neck/shoulder pain left over from yesterday. Right hip hurt some when I drove into town tonight. A little brain fog and a little irritability when things I was working on did not suit me. Otherwise, I am back on track with my meds and starting to feel better like I had before I forgot them.
Discovered I could also put my pills under schedule on my cell phone and an alarm would go off Q3hrs so I would not forget my meds. HOOORAY!!
Did 3 loads of laundry, loaded dishwasher and turned it on (it did the rest) and sat around and watched the lady almost win the Indy 500 and then watched the Nextel 600 race.
Good day, all tolerable, will get better as my meds get back up to the level they should be.

A funny kind of day. I feel as tho everyone else is at a party, bbq or a picnic but me (and a few MPers). Seems sad almost to the point of tears. I guess you would call that depression. I know several people who did not have any parties, etc. so I am not alone here. Tomorrow should be better.
Watered the garden (if you can call it that). Main thing that is growing are tomatoes and squash if the birds will leave it alone.
Brushed Amanda (my dog). She had enough hair for 10 dogs. Then my arm muscle and hand sorta ached like they were sore and over used.
Ate way to much, but I lay that on to the depression. I should have more control than that, but I don't. I like food.
Otherwise, nothing much else.

I NEEDED THAT. MY DAUGHTER CALLED AFTER I POSTED AND MY SON-IN-LAW WAS SAYING THE SAME THING TO HER ABOUT THE PARTY ETC. HE HAS BEEN PRAYING FOR ME NIGHTLY, COULD IT BE SYMPATHY PAINS, (YOU KNOW - LIKE DURING A PREGNACY THAT THE HUSBAND HAS SYMPATHY PAINS?) HAHA.
THANK YOU AGAIN, IT IS HARD TO DO ANYTHING WHEN YOU FEEL THAT WAY. I MOSTLY SAT IN A CHAIR ALL DAY. LOOKED AT THE TV BUT DID NOT SEE THE SHOWS.

Up at 530am, walked out before sunup and got newspaper. Was still very sleepy, but ate breakfast, and went back to bed at 830am and slept until 12 noon.
Got up and cooked lunch for Jeanette and I (my friend from across town). She spent the day and we watched 'Medicine Man' (movie) and some movies I made while in Germany.
Had an achey head, like a vice around the top part. Too pain pill around 1pm and it was gone by 2pm. Just feel tired not fatigued.
Not depressed today!!

Today marks 6 months on MP. What an achievement to stay indoors for that long during daylight hours.
Went to store tonight after dark, when I got home I didn't have any energy left, so I will be going to bed soon.
My eyes have puffy bags under them all day today. No other sxs.

Got up this am with EXTREME DIZZINESS which lasted about 2 hours. Decided since I live alone, it would be advisable to stay seated or in bed for a time till the dizziness went away. It did.
Eyes-puffy bags under eyes still.
Very sleepy all day and should have taken a nice long nap, but did not.
Went grocery shopping and spent about 2 hours altogether looking in Walmart. Was enjoyable to just look at what is actually in the store. Sherry, I found 15 watt bulbs (GE) at Walmart tonite (2/$2.63). Got very tired at store and knew I needed to get home, so checked out keeping all cold items together in case I did not have the energy to carry everything in.
I believe that the last 3 days of 2nd antibiotic are harder for me than the 3/6th days.
I also believe I am still not all the way 'back' from losing my Benicar blockade on 5/27/05, when I forgot 3 pills and went 9 hours with no Benicar. I now have my cellphone alarm set so that can't happen any more.

Yesterday, I forgot to mention that I had gone out before dark to get my meds (fully covered plus noirs), then over to granny's to stay out of the sun until after dark, then had to go out today (in the sun) (full covered plus Noirs)(about 1 hr total time) to work on the cooler again. I bought a new gadget for it, and it was acting up.
I have noticed underarm odor has been harder to control while on 2nd antib. I will be starting the 3rd antibiotic maybe Sat/Sun. We'll see.
Also, dreams have been making more sense, at least I wake up feeling that way, although I can not remember them.
Have had some nausea the last few days, but I believe it was because I bought some diet rite soda and have had 1 every day. My stomach feels like it wants to start into diareaha but doesn't. I believe it is the Splenda, I don't really do well with it. Thought maybe that had changed since on MP but maybe Splenda is just no good period.
