Day 44 Benicar 40mg q6h & Mino 25mg q72h

Slept from 5AM until 4PM and could have slept more!!

Woke very stiff in back lower trunk region:( with trouble walking with pain:( all still tolerable:)  Considered going back to Beni 40mg q4h but pain let up so did not have to do that:D:D

Different kind of underarm odor today (quite unusual being that I just took a shower yesterday) not sure if it is an acetone type odor but definitely different than I have ever had:?

After dinner developed a blood blister on the outer tongue area on the right side. Very happy that the herxing is happening and I am able to contol the intensity with the meds:cool::cool:

Best wishes to all and very grateful for your continued care and support!

Day 45 Benicar 40mg q6h and mino 25mg q72h

Last night I did not get to bed until 7AM which is a new record for me. I had a lot of energy and there were alot of things that needed to be done and it was so quiet:cool:  I seem to get more ambitious in the wee hours of the morning:cool:

Woke at 12:30 PM and felt pretty good today with minimal herxing still of the lower back.

I have a question regarding Benicar?  Whenever I take it more frequently q4h I seem to get a lot of energy as well as diminished herx symptoms.

Can Benicar be taken on occasion to help stay awake if you need to be as that is the effect it seems to have on me?:?

So, in other words can it safely be taken more frequently at the q4h if you have not had additional sunlight exposure but to have more energy to tend to something that needs to be done and can safely put off sleep until later??

Best to all and Happy Herxing!

yes, you may increase the Benicar dosing to Q4H as required for symptomatic relief.

Hi Barb;),

Thanks for your quick reply:D  The reason I had asked is that I have a deadline on some work I need to get completed and thought I would do the Benicar q4h until tomorrow night and then after that I will Sleep Sleep Sleep zzzzzzzzzzzz!

It is so peaceful now and I am enjoying the night and have some soft music in the background........so relaxing and compliments the energy I am feeling:)

I am just so amazed that one pill Benicar is capable of doing so much!:cool:

Best wishes to you;) and Thanks again!!

Day 46 Benicar 40mg q6h & Mino 25mg q72h

Just came out of 2 stressful days to meet a deadline:( Last night again I did not get to bed until 6AM and was exhausted once I hit the pillow:( I just fell into bed and forgot to set the alarm and did not wake until 2:45 PM  almost 9 hours since my last Benicar so hope I did not lose the blockade??:?

My lower back trunk region right now is in extreme pain:X I just took a Benicar 40mg  No postion is comfortable right now. I have a pillow at the back of the computer chair which helps somewhat. I do not know if I will be able to lay in the bed?

Earlier this evening I took a very hot shower. It seemed to help but now it feels very stiff, painful and immobile:X

The blood blister I had on my tongue had broken and gave me a sore throat which makes if difficult to eat without pain. Tongue is very sore on that side:X

My breakfast is usually a pear and shelled almonds and decaf but now I can't have either because of the sore tongue:X so I started eating yogurt (thanks Barb and Janet for your helpful suggestions!:D  The pear always helped with cutting that awful taste in my mouth each morning:)

Well I am going to see if I will be able to get into bed? and into a comfortable position.  Of all the herx symptoms I have had, this one seems to be staying with me longer.  Occasionally I feel a sudden jolt or gripping pain; the same pain that was on my left side under the arm.

As bad as the pain is, it is still tolerable so I am hanging in there:D

Best wishes to all of you!

DianeC

You can use your mino dose (?)25mg as well as your Benicar (an extra half tablet may help) to help you to get more comfortable.. What times should I take my Benicar? What if I forget a dose?

your tongue: see DENTAL PROBLEMS and Th1 inflammation re mouthwash. salt water wash may be helpful in the meantime.

PAIN CONTROL

all best, Barb ...

Day 48 Benicar 40mg q6h  Mino 25mg q72h

Thank you Barb for your quick response to my last post;) I took your instructions and the extreme pain in the trunk area did subside:) I was not pain free but it was more tolerable and I was able to get into bed.

Yesterday was my worst day so far:X  I felt terrible all over from my head down with a sense of overall malaise.  Head had that compressed feeling and my lower back was still in so much pain.  It was a struggle just to get things accomplished that needed to be. I really felt some major herxing going on and everytime I talked or ate something my tongue felt like a razor was running over it:X

Barb.......the salt water gargle worked beautifully!;) Sore tongue and throat is history!:)

By the time I went to bed I was feeling so much better and slept without pain!   I woke today at 2:30PM and felt wonderful all day!:D  After dinner I took a mini nap on the couch and it felt so good. There was not an ache or pain in my body!!:)

I am now looking forward to the next herx as I know that will lead to more of this really good feeling and can't wait to see how I will feel after more time has passed:D

Best wishes to all and may all your herxes be as gentle as possible and still effective!!

Day 50 Benicar 40mg q6h  Mino 25mg q72h

The last time I took Mino 25mg was on the morning of 3/3 at 3:45AM for pain relief from herxing:) thanks Barb!  I have been doing pretty well since then with not much more herxing and could stand some more herxing.

How does one know when it is time to progress to the mino 50mg?:?  And when that time does come is it advisable to start of taking it q48h to start to see how the herxing is the same way we start with the 25mg?  I have been taking 25mg mino since 1/28

Best wishes to all!;)

Thanks Diane

If you can stand some more herxing, it sounds you are ready to increase mino to 50mg QOD..
for details please check all precautions / instructions in the Phase One Doc.. some have it printed to check with regularly.

and I'm eager to get well. How can I speed up my progress on the MP?

all best, Barb ...

Day 52 Benicar 40mg q6h  Mino 25mg q72h

Since my last post started herxing again so thought I had better stay at mino 25mg a while longer:cool:

The 72 hour is really working for me as I start herxing on the second day:cool:

I had another one of those long sleep herxes where I sleep for hours and hours:cool:   Unfortunately I never heard my 10AM alarm one morning so missed taking that dose in time:( I checked the clock is working okay so it was me:(

Herxing under the breastbone on the left side; pain is tolerable:)  I feel very bloated and feel like I have gained a few pounds but don't dare get on the scale as it is more important now to get well and worry about food intake and weight later on:(

After herxing I have been having some very strong urine evident that I am getting rid of the toxins:)

Happy Herxing to all!

Day 55 Benicar q6h and I have just started 50mg Minocycline q72h

I am not sure if I was suppose to start a new topic due to the fact that I have progressed to 50mg Minocycline:?  Is it possible to link my previous posts to this link??:?

I had been on the 25mg mino for approx. 6 weeks already and felt it was time to advance.

During the last couple of days I have had minimal herxing.  When I said I had herxing under the left breastbone what I really meant was that it was located under the breast area on the left side where the pancreas, etc organs are located. That has subsided and is very tolerable now:)

My sleep pattern is now bed by 5AM-6AM and up at 2:30PM  As early evening progresses I start to feel very energetic and start getting lots of things done until 5AM when I wind down:)

So I am definitely ready for more herxing:cool:

I just ordered the new Wraparound NOIRS and am very excited about that:)

Best wishes and Happy Herxing to all!

Hi Barb;),

I just re-read Phase 1  The first 3 months again and just had one question?

Now that I have started on the 50mg of minocycline should I ease into it by taking it q48h in the beginning...the same way I did with the 25mg to see how my body re-acts?

I did not start herxing on the 25mg, however, until I started taking it q72h

My understanding from reading phase 1 is that it is preferable to take the mino q48h instead of q72h  Is that correct, even if you have more effective herxing with q72h??

Thanks and best wishes!;)

If the 72H dosing suits you best, that is what you follow..  tolerable symptoms/ herxing is the aim.
see the FAQ I'm eager to get well. How can I speed up my progress on the MP?

Thank you Barb;),

I am going along slow and steady:cool: as I am in no hurry but still very excited about the future:D  I don't mind being indoors at all and lately have had so much energy.  Even more so than when I first started Benicar:)

I am really just thrilled that my left hip no longer bothers me (bone spurs) and that the limping is gone.  I believe that everything I was doing prior to MP was actually making my bones weaker.

Thanks again Barb!

Day 58 Benicar q6h  Mino 50mg q72h

This schedule still seems to be working well:cool:  The other night after my last post on the 14th I had a stomach herx with wrenching pain but it did not last long and this was just before my next dose of mino on the 15th:)

It is almost like clockwork but after an intense herx (and it could only be one that lasts a very short time) I have very strong urine evident of the toxins being released:)  I am really getting to know my body well:)

There seems to be alot going on in my stomach right now and eating sometimes contributes to the herx. I wish I could find a substitute to eating bread and peanut butter late at night:(  I just can't seem to go to sleep on an empty stomach:(:(

I was never one to take sleeping pills and recently in the news there was talk of people who had taken ambien who got behind the wheel of their car and did not remember anything and crashed and other tragic instances as well pertaining to taking Ambien:X

My stomach is still bloated but think that will resolve when more bugs are killed:?  I love exercise but am afraid it will stimulate the mycoplasma activity so I stay away from it for now:(

Since starting the 50mg mino I have noticed for the last 2 to 3 days I seem to be herxing through the pores of my skin (skin being our largest organ):)

One thing that has bothered me for the past few years is the fact that I always feel intense heat especially in the chest area and would wear the lightest of summer clothing even in the winter:(

With summer around the corner if I can't find suitable clothing, I think I will just stay in my cave in air conditioning:cool:  I can't even remember the last time I was outdoors during the daytime:)

I just can't say enough about how grateful I am to Trevor, Barb and all who make this site the success that it is!

Best always!
