Benicar 40mg Q8h

Mino 75mg every 48hrs

My husband has been taking 75mg of Mino for a week and a half now. We are planning to start 100mg this week. Since he started Mino in November '06 (we are moving slowly) he did not have any bad Herx reaction yet. Only when he was taking 50mg of Mino (and Benicar 40mg Q8h) he experienced muscle pain, little nausea, numbness of the arm and fingers, and he was tired more often. But so far he can still work physically. The only thing that bothers me is his breathing. I think it is a little lauder and heavier than before. When I asked him if he's had any breathing problems, he's told me that he only gets tired faster than before but it is not harder for him to breathe.

Another thing that worries me is that we don't have the results of his D-metabolites test from before he started MP. Should we do the test now? Please advice.

I'm sorry I didn't post earlier. Best. Anita.

Welcome to MP.com and thank you for posting your details.. The symptoms you are reporting are due to Immunopathology.

The aim or the key is for you to achieve and maintain tolerable symptoms (physically, mentally, and emotionally) by adjustment of your meds dosing and schedule as suited individually to you within the guidelines.

Phase One is the training ground for you to get the feel of your immune response  - Immunopathology / symptoms and to gain personal experience in managing all aspects of MP. ie eg including your meds, and light exposure and D avoidance. Tools to check:  << if having problems please check if you need to make adjustments in any area, and feel free to ask on the Board. thank you.

If your Dr agrees: to minimise symptoms - you can take extra half tablet (20mg) Benicar any time during cycle, or adjust dosage to 40mg Q4H. see also BenicarQuiklink  many Members report chewing or sublingual gives faster absorption/relief..

Breathing Tips has links to all the breathing/ respiratory Information.

If you need temporary relief of your symptoms such as shortness of breath etc you may wish to contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice about palliative medications. Any medications that are not on the list of MEDICATIONS TO AVOID WHILE ON THE MARSHALL PROTOCOL are okay to take to relieve intolerable symptoms.

It will be helpful to you to have your D results as a baseline.. the 25D in particular.. as the 25-D seems to be the most critical factor as to whether the immune system is able to start working.

Checklist: basic links for MP

Personal, Family, Relationship Tips also..

Let us know if you have any questions. all best, Barb ...

Thank you Barb,

Thank you so much for the advice. We will do the 25D test and I will post the results as soon as we get them. I'll be in touch.

Best. Anita.

Thank you Anita

When you do retest your 25D to make sure it is near or below the therapeutic level of 12ng/ml, there is no need to retest the more expensive 1,25-D.. How often should I test D levels? What are the target numbers? Please record the results into your signature line, thank you.

see this FAQ
Where can I find phase two and three? for information re sending an email for the Questionnaire to fill and return so that you have plenty of time to read and discuss the Information with Staff before going to your Dr.

When you are given feedback and access to the Information in the Phase 2/3 Forum -

We then encourage you to begin a new progress report there in that forum to discuss the Staff recommendations as to which meds and dosing are most suitable to your individual situation, in preparation for discussing with your Dr so s/he can write the scripts. Thank you.. all best, Barb ...

Couple of days ago I sent an e-mail requesting MP questionnaire. I haven't received any answer yet and I don't know how to check if my request went through. Please advise. Anita.

Barb, together with my other e-mails I lost the whole info about the second phase of the MP that you sent me a while ago. Could you please send it to me again. Thank you. Anita.

I have sent you an email. Thank you for filling out the questionnaire. Your husbands high 25D suggests he may not be diligently avoiding foods with vitamin D. His high 25D is probably limiting the bacterial killing and that is why has have little immunopathology. That will change as the level of 25D come down so he needs to proceed cautiously with Modified Phase Two. suggest retesting every 2 to 3 months to check the 25D level.

When you can, please do update your signature line to help Staff and others reading and replying < see this link for details to include. Your details enable us to assist you. Thank You .. There is a limit of 255 characters, and some information needs to be abbreviated..

Please begin a new progress report there in the Phase 2/3 forum to discuss the Staff recommendations re Mod Phase Two meds and dosing in preparation for discussing with your Dr so s/he can write the scripts. Thank you.. Barb ....
