I am having the same problem. I am avoiding as much as possible. I am not having much in the way of Herx symptoms, probably because my vit. D isn't low enough. I think I will follow your lead and get to 100 mg. of mino. and hold there until I can get my vit. D down. Then there is the concept that I might not have Th1 disease. My blood presure hasn't lowered significantly. I think my shoulders are less painful and I have gone without cortisone for 6 months and the lower back pain is bearable. I, too, feel I'd like a quantitative chart to refer to.
Thursday I am driving to Atlanta to see my son. I will cover up with long pants and long sleeve shirt, put sun block on my face and hands, and wear my NoIRs. I probably will still produce vit. D. Since you and I are white skinned, we probably produce more than our darker skinned friends.
My next doctor appointments are the end of September and beginning of October. By then maybe the vit. D will be down further.

We do not recommend staying at the mino 100mg dose level. We do recommend progressing to adding the 2nd abx as soon as it is tolerable to do so.
Thanks, Barb ...

1coyote,
It would be nice to have a "D"-o-meter on all food sources, but I must admit, I'm still scratching my head about the motivation to discover D in raw beef tripe.
I appreciate your focus on D right now, both ingested and from light source. Disbanding the 20-80 in favor of zero tolerance is the quickest route to ideal, even if you have been ingesting D for quite a while.
Some have had to work on lowering D for quite a long time. Don't get discouraged, just look at the nutritional labels and learn to see between the lines for things like fish oil, flaxseed oil or sunflower oil... they are in a lot of products.
Syoung,
It took a while for my blood pressure to come down. I had unusually low blood pressure when I was younger, but it was quite elevated in 1999 when I was first dx, and similarly elevated in 2005 when I started the MP. It took a while for my bp to come down, and it even went up last Dr appt. High or low both indicate problem.--JRF

Fellow Ozarkian (my Florida address was a mistake ) -
Thanks for this info. Best I've seen yet. Your USDA table came from somewhere, as did the qualitative lists lists of avoided foods elsewhere on the site. And they must have had some quantitative source for them to be included. I'll keep diggin'. Same for sunlight exposure. I know it's out there somewhere... And when I do find something, I'll let you know.

Hello 1coyote,
I recently saw a travel show on Western MO and the Ozarks. What a beautiful place. I can see why your heart has stayed put! I feel similarly about the Blueridge Mountains, having spent many years in NC and having gone camping up there many times. Although, the Ozarks really peak my interest, as they are a unique range within a midwestern culture. Hope you are able to get back out there, to where your heart lies, in due course
I hope you are doing well as you traverse the early phases of the MP.
Cheers,
migs
