Last December, the leading Australian glossy scientific journal, COSMOS, carried a cover story "Can you catch a Heart Attack?"  That article is now available online at:

Can you Catch a Heart Attack?

Becky McCall, the UK-based journalist who wrote it, did an excellent job pulling together info from many sources.

Please read, and share the article with your friends...

Trevor......great article,  but I'm already a "choir member".   Have passed it on and am curious to the response I get.  Unfortunately most (no, all) of my friends and family think I am crazy!!  But that's not new!!!!  Hope the article gets into some mass media.......Dian

I read the article and I think the issue about teeth is so misleading.  I did not produce enough plaque to have my teeth cleaned every 12 years and my gums were in perfect shape, garnering compliments every time I went to the dentist.  (I lost teeth like many with TH1 after a serious car accident though... no doubt the TH1 contributed somewhat.)

The only time I have produced significant plaque was during an 8 month period when my immune system kicked into gear in the early 90s, and once I started the MP.  In the first year, I probably had to scrape my teeth four times a day.

So if your immune system is sufficiently weak, you might not be killing off the bacteria in your mouth and producing plaque build up.  Well... it's my hypothesis (given that I've been sick since I was a kid) and I'm sticking too it.
