I could not agree more Frans!  When I posted there was only the picture of Amy and Paul posted at that time.  Since then it seems a number of Dr Marshalls have magically appeared!  Either that or those two in the background in the last picture have been on the MP for a LONG time!!  :D

You all are very observant! Amy and I had some free time on a Friday night, we fired up the ol' Photoshop, one thing led to another, you know how it goes. :)

I agree with Diana.  We can sure use a good dose of humor here and there to counter too much IP.  Great picture/s!

Amy,

Your website has really helped me understand the theory behind the MP much better. When I first started reading the MP scientific papers in Dec. 2008, a lot of the biochemistry was beyond my understanding. But your articles and interviews written for the lay person are extremely helpful.

What will you obtain a PhD, and what is your subject of research?

I am just curious since most PhD work is based on an individual research, and I am assuming that you are not studying biochemistry. Will you base your work on the results of the cohort studies?

Best of luck,

Tammy

Hi Tammy,

I'm very glad that you found the articles on Bacteriality helpful!

About my PhD - it's based largely on publication (PhD by publication).  So I'm not working in a lab.  I am writing my publications largely on topics related to the Marshall Pathogenesis and my thesis will be a (hopefully!) an extensive description of the Pathogenesis along with some case histories about people on the MP that I hope to include in various papers.  The thesis will also focus on the intersection between work in the field of autoimmunity and how it can be expanded by a better understanding of metagenomics.

After I get the PhD I do hope that I can start actively testing aspects of the Pathogenesis.

The school I'm getting my degree through is the College of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences, so I believe my degree with be in biomedical sciences since none of my work has anything to do with research on animals.

Best,
Amy

PhD will probably be in the Faculty of Health Sciences, rather than the School, but I am not sure of this.

I just had to add my "Congratulations!" and "Best Wishes" to Amy on being accepted into a Phd program.

Congratulations!!!!  Amy.  :)

However, IMHO, the pictures tell numerous stories, too.  What is that hand of Amy's doing on Paul's leg?  :D  Is there more than one annoucement that is being made?  Should we be congratulating Paul as well? :D

Wishing all wellness!!!  :D

Nice try, George, but there are no such announcements to be made. :)

The story behind that picture is that Amy had a greasy hand and was wiping it off on my shorts.

Yes, it was a pretty distracting atmosphere with all the cloned Trevors around.

I realized I'd touched Paul's leg and immediately went to the bathroom to wash my hands...ewww!

Amy

PS George - thanks very much for the congrats on the PhD!!

Hmm...I don't see any such mistake.  I would also suggest that you get a life.

Well, Paul and Amy ... body language says a LOT ... regardless of "greasy hands" and who washed their hands afterwards!  :D

P.S.  I hope I punctuated this correctly ... it has been a LONG time since I was in college!!
