A couple of months ago we received an invitation from Noel Rose (head of Autoimmunology at Johns Hopkins) to write a paper for Discovery Medicine, a journal affiliated with Johns Hopkins. We did, and it has just been published:

Dr. Marshall, are articles in Discovery Medicine typically this long?  Were there any guidelines given as to how long an article could or should be?

I am not sure how much clearer the chronic disease universe characterization, cause and protocol can be. Also, by not coming to grips with the new paradigm and needed treatment change, the key challenge of immune pathology is left unresolved and inadequately resourced by a full research effort. Finally, and tragically, standard treatment encourages the current chronic disease epidemic to continue to cascade, and most importantly, the disease epidemic is infectious. Where is the CDC?

The nearly single voiced championship of the need for radical understanding and treatment change for the chronic disease epidemic tragedy is on the shoulders of the Autoimmunity Research Foundation and ground breaking staff. This needs to become the new consensus.

Thank you for your untiring and skillful efforts as evidenced by this recent and polished paper.
Best regards,
Mike

It isn't that you will get "X" or "Y" or "Z" chronic disease by infection, Microbiomes don't work that way, but you will get one of the alphabet, then two, successively. That is why it is so hard for doctors to see this as an epidemic, doctors are used to seeing an epidemic of "X," not of a class of diseases.

It was very clear and well-written, I gave it to my father in law (so far) and he was impressed. I'd definitely give it to my dr.

It read as a novel for me.
I was really impressed by the high level of this paper.
Wonder how my physician will react on this.
The message is loud and clear!

Best,
Jan

Just pushed it to friends that do not know, but need to.

Excellent description of the problem so the paradigm shift can happen. Thank you for the references, too.

Keep up the good work. Best to all--Janet

We were chosen for the cover of the printed version of Discovery Medicine, but have only just managed to find a copy online. Here it is:

The fulltext link is to the authors' copy unfortunately. The actual printed pages are still behind the paywall. So how do we get a clean copy  for you to take to your Docs? I am not sure...

ps: it needs to be added to the MPKB, too, I guess :)
