It is great that mankind is finally getting to grips with the realization that we humans are not sterile, we are spreading our microbiome signature wherever we go. Not just from our guts, but from our lungs (in the air we breathe out) from our hands (what we touch) and in the dead cells we discard from our bodies each day.

Of course, none of these immune changes could be attributed to ionizing radiation outside the atmosphere, or indeed to non-ionizing radiation from the radio transmitter of the spacecraft? Of course not.... It is all stress - even in the mice...
