"Recovering from Chronic Disease"
"on the 25th Anniversary of AIDS"
"Sarcoidosis, AIDS and Cancers"
This year's conference will be in Los Angeles, at LAX, the International Airport. Los Angeles is the home of our keynote speaker this year, Dr Alan Cantwell, MD. Alan has agreed to come out of retirement, and speak, for the first time in 20 years, about his landmark research (during the 1970s) into the importance of CWD L-form bacteria in Sarcoidosis, Scleroderma, Cancers, and, more recently, in AIDS. Alan will also participate in panel discussions,
Alan personally knew Dr Virginia Livingstone, and many of the others who pioneered our understanding of the importance of these tiny bacteria. Alan's recent book "Four Women Against Cancer" is published by AriesRising Press. I am looking forward to detailed discussions with Alan. This opportunity presents the chance of a lifetime for us to delve into the minds of those great thinkers who did so much of the pioneering in this field.
June is the 25th Anniversary of AIDS, and thus would seem to be an auspicious month for the conference.
I have visited the LAX hotels andwe have gotten good deal on the weekend of Fathers Day, 17/18 June, at the (luxurious) Airport Hilton, with a room rate of only $99 (two people per room) during that weekend (DON'T BOOK YOUR ROOMS UNTIL WE HAVE THE RATE SETUP IN HILTON's COMPUTERS, as we have had to guarantee a minimum number of room nights to get the best rate). The special parking rate will be $10 per night, and there will be a $10 charge for a high-speed internet connection.
rooms available at the $99 rate. The Group booking code is AUT.
What worries me is that some of our Health Professionals will not be able to attend because of the clash with Father's Day. Obviously, I would urge them to bring their family, and spend a day at Disneyland to compensate for Father's Day 'lost' at the conference Actually, being pampered at a hotel the class of the Hilton is probably celebration enough
http://www.losangelesairport.hilton.com
The Hilton has a shuttle every 10 mins 24/7 to the Airport, less than 1/2 mile away, and a free shuttle to the big shopping mall at Manhattan Beach. This is a huge hotel (1100 rooms) and every one of the Los Angeles tour companies stops there
Dr Greg Blaney has agreed to speak on Th1 disease, and John McDonald, an expert in optics, will describe the Microscope technology needed to detect the L-form bacteria in pin-prick blood. This year there will be panel sessions of the expert speakers, in addition to the panel format we had last year.
We will announce more great speakers as the days roll by

LeAnne,
The Hilton has 1100 rooms and two floors of banquet space, about 10 times what we need. Lots of hallways with comfortable chairs that we can use for breakout discussions, too. Four restaurants and a Cafe (with Pizza and Salads) are available, as well as the usual Bar in the huge foyer. You can also hop in the shuttle and eat at the airport if you want more fast food. So there is no problem with too many folks rolling up. The problem is too few.
Yes, lots of discussion on the mechanics of the MP will be scheduled. But my interests have moved a little from yours. Mine are now turning to "saving the world," trying to figure out just how the MP pathogenesis is specifically applied to other disease conditions. AIDS and Cancers are crying out for illumination, and the MP can provide some answers. So there will be some sessions scheduled for those of us at the bleeding edge, and some for those trying just to get from day to day

Here is a photo of the room which we will probably use. It holds up to 300, in theatre type seating. In this photo it is decked out in dining regalia http://tinyurl.com/zbkjo

Thank you. I want to invite some physicians, who have inquiring minds, who are interested in the protocol and the topic of bacteria. I would love to come and meet you, along with others. I just have to convince my hubby.
LeAnne
The East coast has conference rooms too.

How soon will you have a schedule of events? It will be helpful when making travel and airline arrangements.

LeAnne,
Alan Cantwell is an invaluable link to the minds and knowledge of past CWD visionaries, all of whom have long since gone from us. The conference needs to be in Los Angeles so that he can attend it.
I need to decide to go ahead with the Jun 17/18 date, or not go ahead, within the next few days. If we miss this date it will be Winter before other openings are available.
Assume that the schedule will not look much different from last year, except that there will be a lot more opportunity to sit around and talk with each other, and that there will be no sunshine in the hallways this year - the venue is entirely indoors without windows Additionally, we will have some informal patient-oriented networking-type events late Friday afternoon/evening.
So that would mean the plenary session on Saturday will start at about 10am and end at 5pm. There will be a sit-down dinner at 7pm. Sunday will start at 9am and go through to 1pm (so folks working to a tight schedule can fly in Saturday morning and fly out late Sunday afternoon)(and so other folks can take their families to Disneyland on Sunday afternoon, evening, then leave on the red-eye).

Trevor--
I look forward to attending another conference, whenever and wherever would be the most convenient for all. I hope you have enough attendees so that it may happen soon! I needed a date to start making plans for myself and possibly with a few others.
Thank you for initiating the process! . . . Carole

Dear Trevor:
I don’t think most folks consider Father’s Day a major holiday, but I wonder if two months notice is enough for busy medical professionals as well as many “regular folks”. Speaking for myself, if I would have known the date for the conference 6 months ago, I would have planned my schedule differently to make it more economical and practical to attend. As someone who lives full time in an RV in a variety of locales, I realize my situation is unique.
I still really want to be there. Attending the Chicago conference was a wonderful experience for both my husband and me. But it will be a challenge for me to make this work.
Regards,
Carol

Ditto Carole.
I found out about the MP days before the Chicago conference last year. At that time, it was just barely a blip on my radar, something to learn about in my spare time. Little did I know! (really have used those DVDs!) Value of this conference just as significant.

I would like to attend; however, winter is better for me and spouse. June work schedule will have him bogged down. Fathers' Day needs to be spent with my 90 year old dad as you all can probably understand.

Barring winning the lottery, I don't think I'll be able to attend.
What I would like to be discussed at the conference is a sequel to the discussion about the politics, where to go from here.
What I have been wondering about are a couple of things.
dr marshall's research is wielding a lot of results. I am curious if some of these findings will be taken up by the health professionals that are member of mp.com.
One thing that sticks out in my mind is dr Marshall saying: "Log infection !" when doing tests with ARB's etc.
That looks like a no-brainer, since we all know that in th1-diseases there is a whole lot of systemic infection.
It would however be a breakthrough in itself, since before taking these medicin, there is no trace of infection, other than our beloved D-ratio This might open the road to proving that there are bacteria who don't show up on the normal 'radar'.
But the question is, who is going to do this kind of research? Are there health profs on mp.com who could take this on?
Just some thoughts,
Sincerely, Frans

How much?
Well, lets see, we have have had 3 say they can come so far. Most are saying they can't make it.
So if we divide the costs by 3, we get - gazillions - yes, my best estimate at this point is that it will cost gazillions

I counted at least 5, with two of those that thought of bringing others. (I was thinking how to get my family members with cancer and advanced age & Th1 there, maybe also husband who has shown off and on interest.)
That makes costs very reasonable now, right?... about a half a gazillion? Is my math off?Last edited on Wed Apr 12th, 2006 10:00 by jrfoutin
