Rico,
The scientific part looks awfully like my Visiting Professor presentation at FDA, with the linking the expression of of TLR2 and TL4 (innate immunity bacterial protein receptors) to VDR and even mentioning CAMP. It also looks much like the start of my Karolinska presentation.

Everything was going well until the prejudices of the investigators led them to conclude that low levels of 25-D in African Americans (and other races) was a causal factor. I don't know why race is such a stumbling block for medical researchers, but it certainly seems to trip a lot of them up...

They instead need to study the molecular genomics diagrams on my Karolinska paper:)

Has anybody got time to write to (or phone) these researchers and suggest they come to our conference presentations? I am too busy - am about to fly out for a meeting in New York tomorrow night. I won't be back until Tuesday morning...

Barney,
I have spoken to, and written to, Dr John Adams a number of times without any interest being shown. You can Google for his details at Cedars-Sinai. Try the others too. They seem to go around as if this whole thing was one big secret.

On the other hand, the large number of authors may have been because they anticipated the Vitamin D lobby putting up a stink over this one. Sometimes the truth hurts - and as I said at Karolinska, the Vitamins D are immunosuppressive steroids, and most probably bear a responsibility for a significant fraction of this epidemic of chronic disease sweeping the world right now...

I emailed the address Aussie Barb put up - before I saw what she put up. :) Otherwise, I couldn't find any other "linking" info on the scientists. However, today's not been the best day ever, so may have missed something. -Alayne

Email sent to address Barb listed. I sent it in the form of an antique invitation. It really looked inticing. Will try to forward a copy.
