While I was up at Berkeley these past few days, I see that the number of posts in this study-site  database went past 100,000 - to 100,096 in fact.

With over 45,000 visitors a month to this site, and another 15,000 visitors a month still visiting  the SarcInfo.com site, the Foundation is now serving over half a million page views a month.

Thanks to all of you who helped us get to this point, and for all those volunteers without whom the sites, and the Foundation's educational outreach,  would cease to exist.

Sincerely
Trevor

I've noticed the number of persons online being constantly above 50 at any given moment. Also, the 'guest' numbers have been up really high above 50 most of the time. Thanks so much to everyone for being here :) and thank you Dr. Marshall.

We are seeing 200-400 visitors per hour at this study site, with about 25% of them enrolled as members.

..trevor..
ps: Thanks for your help, too, Greg:)

Also website is more functional on new server i think .For example menu, when clicking on user name, works properly in firefox browser, not only in IE.

Wrotek,
Unfortunately, some member's notification preferences were lost in the upgrade, but, as you say, the result has been worthwhile, both in speed of access and reliability.

When posting a message/reply with FireFox 2.0.0.3, the Cut, Copy, Paste, Insert Link, SpellCheck, ShadowText, GlowText and BlurText buttons don't appear at all. They do with IE 6.

Yup but this was  before too. And when u use some options from IE menu, they may not work in Firefox and show up.

Wrotek, Rico,
Internet Explorer lets you do some dangerous things while surfing online. Firefox tries to protect its users from viruses and trojans.

In order to perform, eg, spellcheck, your browser needs to run some javascript code which this website will send to you. IE will happily run that javascript, Firefox protects you from the possibility the javascript may contain viruses.

I always use Firefox.   IMO, IE is just too dangerous these days, Microsoft has failed to patch all the vulnerabilities in the IE program, because they feel it will "degrade the browsing experience." Personally, I would rather have a lesser "experience," in order to make sure it is a safe one:)

I never used most of those buttons anyway, but the Insert Link used to work for me with FireFox and it doesn't appear anymore. I don't remember the format of the url tag...

I thought this might be security issues. I use firefox too, because every time i lunch IE  it makes my machine run slower after, than i have to scan for adware and spyware using spybot, to restore functionality.

Rico,
If you just write a URL, like
http://marshallprotocol.com
then the system will automatically display and link it

If you wanted something like
The world's most important website
then you can write it this way:
\[URL=http://marshallprotocol.com\]The world's most important website\[/URL\]
(but leave out the \  characters, I added those so the brackets would display)

Congratulations Trevor and all MP'ers and interested parties who helped make this significant mark.

Perhaps these numbers may be helpful in future funding.

I hope our contributions are useful in helping one another and possibly getting approval of the protocol.

HI ALL

This is Fred in WV.  I see in the last 2 weeks or so we have had a record day for the most users on line at one time.  I think it has been 3 or 4 times in that time frame.  I guess it is because there are more people getting sicker with all the summer sun in most places.  So with the sickness they are looking for answers so they come to the best place to get the correct answers.  I know I have been talking to a lot of people that I know have one or all the TH1 diseases.  We all know the sun makes it worse.  Even the ones I have been talking to even agree the the sun is making their symptoms wors.  Maybe some of the ones I have talked to are some of the ones looking at the   site.                                                                                            Remember, we are all in this together and I am pulling for us.

Your friend in sarcoidosis

Freddie

PS: I see today is another record breaking day.

Freddie,
Last month this MP site had 107,803 individual visitors making 226,512 visits and looking at 533,947 pages. There were 3,593 posts and 7,563 private messages.

The server did creak at the seams a few times, and we are doing our best to cope with the expansion, along with everything else we are doing:)

Then the SarcInfo site had an additional 14,850 visitors making 22,042 visits, and serving 56,868 pages.

Thanks to everybody who helped us cope:)

I am blown away by the fact that most people who were using a search engine were actually searching for 'marshall protocol.'  I am embarrassed by how long it took me to find the site... but, hey, I had never heard of the MP.

Yeah, I am one who googled Sarcoidosis...

Interesting that so many people are hearing about the MP before coming here,

Ruth
